After quite some time, McFarlane Toys/DC Direct has decided to release new additions to their well-loved Batman Cowls replica series. The wait is almost over, as these three fresh entries will be available in a 1:3 scale starting September 2nd. Additionally, a new DC Direct DC Cover Girls series, featuring a Poison Ivy statue inspired by the art of J. Scott Campbell, is set to launch simultaneously in a 1:8th scale. Here’s what you should know about these upcoming releases.
On September 2nd, starting at 9am PT / 12pm ET, you’ll have the opportunity to pre-order several distinctive Batman cowls inspired by iconic works such as “Batman: The Dark Knight Returns” by Frank Miller, George Clooney’s Batman cowl from “Batman & Robin,” and a Batman cowl reminiscent of the 2011 “Batman: Court of Owls” run by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. Each cowl is estimated to cost approximately $15.99. These items might also be available on Amazon around the same time. Coinciding with this, the Poison Ivy statue is anticipated to debut at Entertainment Earth as well. You can view detailed images of these items in the gallery provided below.
Hopefully, McFarlane or DC Direct will introduce a future 1:1 scale replica of the cowl (Batman helmet) down the line. So far, only the ‘Batman ’89’ and ‘Batman ’66’ cowls have been released in full-scale form.
DC Multiverse The Batman Batmobile
pre-order on amazon
As a devoted fan of cinematic masterpieces, I’ve recently come across an exciting addition to my Batman collection – the DC Multiverse Batmobile inspired by the electrifying 2022 film The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson. This Gold Label piece measures a mighty 19-inches in length and boasts captivating details such as an opening driver door and wheels that roll smoothly. Compatible with 7-inch scale DC Multiverse figures, it’s essential to note that the Robert Pattinson figure, designed to perfectly match this vehicle, is currently hard to come by. However, fear not! You can still secure the elusive figure from third-party sellers on Amazon, with delivery handled directly by them.
Pre-orders for the DC Multiverse The Batman Batmobile are now open on Amazon for $89.99. Keep an eye on your calendar, as this masterpiece is set to arrive on October 15th.
