However, the Magic Knight Captains can’t agree on whether Asta or Yuno is the better choice. They decide the only way to settle the debate is for Asta and Yuno to have one last battle, putting their long-standing rivalry to the test.
The battle showcases the incredible skills Asta and his opponent have developed throughout the ten years of Black Clover. They know each other so well that they anticipate and neutralize each other’s attacks. Ultimately, Asta prevails, becoming the youngest Wizard King in the Clover Kingdom’s history. The story then jumps forward two years, revealing a broader look at the kingdom’s future with Asta finally realizing his lifelong dream.
How Does Black Clover End for Asta?
Now that Asta has become the Wizard King, the Clover Kingdom is enjoying a time of peace. The story concludes by showing what everyone is up to: Gauche and Grey are officially a couple, Finral is expecting a child, Charmy and Rill are happily married with several children, and Yami and Charlotte have tied the knot. Yami has also left the Black Bulls to lead a new, specialized squad of Magic Knights, with Nacht taking his place as Captain.
Yuno is now a Captain of the Golden Dawn, frequently traveling to the Spade Kingdom. Meanwhile, Asta has been working as the Wizard King. Some fans hoping for progress in Asta’s love life might be disappointed, as both Noelle and Mimosa are patiently waiting for him to settle into his new position before sharing their feelings. Despite that, the Clover Kingdom is enjoying a period of peace. And with the Black Clover anime set to return later this year, there’s still plenty more of the story to come.
