After running away again, Alfie attempted unsuccessfully to locate Zoe and has kept the details of their subsequent meeting with her hidden from Kat ever since. However, this week, Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall), the son of both Alfie and Kat, found out about his father’s deceit after he listened to a drunken voice message in which Alfie confessed everything he had done to Kat.
After the disagreement between Kat and Tommy led to Tommy leaving home, Alfie decided it was time for honesty and confessed the truth to Kat.
On Thursday, Kat felt deeply saddened and enraged towards Alfie and Stacey, and she immediately confronted them both for concealing Zoe’s struggles from her.
In the most recent episode that aired on Thursday, Kat was distraught and livid towards Alfie and Stacey due to their secret-keeping about Zoe’s difficulties. She didn’t hold back in expressing her frustration with them both.
Following the rejection of the pair, Stacey’s mother, Jean Slater (Gillian Wright), traced Kat when she was upset, and managed to convince her that Alfie and Stacey were trying to mend things instead of causing harm to Kat, and decided to unite the family.
At the Vic, Kat became increasingly anxious because Tommy hadn’t come back from running away, and Alfie shared that he couldn’t locate him either, and none of their friends had set eyes on him.
Kat decided that Jean, Stacey, Freddie, and Alfie would join forces to find and return both of her children who were missing, with everyone contributing to the effort jointly.
Regardless of her determination, Kat continued to be deeply worried as two of her children were still unaccounted for. However, Alfie assured her that he would bring them back together again.
During this time, the story came to an end as Tommy climbed the steps of a shabby apartment building, eventually reaching a particular door that he knocked on.
Zoe opened the door herself and inquired whether he was Tommy. When he verified it, she allowed him entry into her apartment.
After reconnecting with his elder sibling, will Tommy experience an improvement in his bond with Kat, or might this encounter instead complicate things further?
In the days to come, it won’t be long before we discover the truth, since next week, Zoe and Tommy are set to surprise everyone by reappearing in Albert Square, giving Kat quite a start.
