There’s been buzz recently about potential details for the upcoming “Kingdom Hearts 4,” focusing on the diverse worlds that players might explore during gameplay. It’s now been three years since Square Enix initially announced “Kingdom Hearts 4” in 2022. Since then, they’ve shared very little about the sequel to “Kingdom Hearts 3.” In May, we received new screenshots, but that’s been about it since 2022. Unfortunately, there haven’t been any further updates from Square Enix. However, an unofficial rumor regarding the game has surfaced recently.
A recent rumor circulates from an unidentified source within Square Enix who leaked some exclusive information about the game through a digital platform. They supported their statements by presenting what they assert is an internal Square Enix file. The authenticity of this document hasn’t been confirmed, but it’s certainly grabbing the interest of Kingdom Hearts enthusiasts who are eagerly awaiting updates on KH4.
The Leaked Worlds
A source has shared a list of 21 distinct universes with fans of Kingdom Hearts 4. The list includes various worlds such as:
* The Final World
* Quadratum
* The Mysterious Tower
* Underworld
* A world based on Moana’s story
* Game Central Station
* Niceland
* Cybug Sector
* Candy Kingdom
* A world inspired by Zootopia
* Metroville
* XDA
* Land of the Dead
* Inside World
* Galaxy World
* Radiant Garden
* Destiny Island
* WF (a possible abbreviation)
* Scala Ad Caelum, which might connect to a potential Mickey Mouse plotline
* A world based on The Princess and the Frog
* Merida’s realm
* A world inspired by WALL-E
This list could provide exciting insights for Kingdom Hearts 4 fans as they speculate about what these worlds might offer in the upcoming game.
It’s clear that some aspects of these are unspecific or temporary, but they do contain intriguing Disney properties such as WALL-E and Zootopia. Compared to Kingdom Hearts 3 which had 12 worlds (including Realm of Darkness), having 21 would represent a significant increase in scale and ambition. For reference, the original Kingdom Hearts had 13 worlds, while Kingdom Hearts 2 featured 15. While 12, 13, and 15 are similar, 21 could come as quite a shock.
It appears that “Winnie the Pooh” is absent from this list, which has been included in all previous “Kingdom Hearts” games. Some fans find this omission concerning, but since “Kingdom Hearts 3” seemingly concluded that world’s storyline, the validity of this concern is open to interpretation.
Currently, Square Enix has yet to voice their opinion on this fresh speculation, and given their past approach of not addressing rumors or guesswork, it’s unlikely they will break that pattern. However, if they do, we’ll promptly revise our narrative. In the meantime, share your thoughts with us: What magical realms would you desire to explore in Kingdom Hearts 4?
