One week following the delivery of their seventh child, Henry, born to former star of Bringing Up Bates, Chad Paine’s wife, she finds herself in a grave condition at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Chad shared on his September 1 Instagram post that we were praying for Erin’s swift recovery due to complications arising from labor, which was longer and more difficult than her previous births. Despite the hardships, she has been a shining example of grace, leaving everyone around her – nurses, staff, and doctors – in awe with her kindness and gratitude amidst pain. We are all touched by her spirit and grateful for her strength.

While Chad reported that their newborn son is thriving in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Erin continues to fight a tough recovery process.

As you can see, this eye doesn’t blink, I can’t smile from one side of my face, and this nostril remains unmoved – all symptoms of full paralysis on one side. In an Instagram video, I explained that this virus attacked the nerve in my ear and facial nerves, causing the facial paralysis. It even made eating progressively harder for me. However, with time, the paralysis subsided.

Thankfully, I’m doing much better now. My wife, Hailey, expressed on a June 2022 episode of Good Morning America that I am feeling a lot better and will be completely okay. She was grateful and relieved knowing that I’m fine.
