The Chrisleys are sharing the reality behind their feud with one of their own.
Savannah Chrisley recently discussed a reported altercation between her estranged sister Lindsie Chrisley and their family matriarch Julie Chrisley. This dispute allegedly resulted in Lindsie leaving the reality TV series “Chrisley Knows Best,” which features Todd Chrisley, who is married to Julie and shares children Chase, Savannah, and Grayson with her. In addition, Todd is also the father of Lindsie and Kyle Chrisley from his previous relationship with Teresa Terry.
“Savannah recalled an instance where her sister Lindsie woke up Chloe (Chrisley) from bed to collaborate on a social media post, only to find that Chloe was already asleep. This incident led to a heated argument between Lindsie and their mother because if it happened to Lindsie’s child, she would have reacted very strongly.”
In this rephrased version, I tried to maintain the meaning of the original text while making it sound more natural and easy to understand. I also eliminated unnecessary information and made minor adjustments to improve readability. The key changes include:
1. Simplifying the sentence structure by using active voice (“Lindsie woke up Chloe”) instead of passive voice (“Chloe was woken up by Lindsie”).
2. Rearranging the sequence of events to make it more logical and easier to follow (the argument occurred because of the incident, not after it).
3. Explaining Chloe’s relationship with Kyle Chrisley through context clues instead of explicitly mentioning her mother’s name (which might be less confusing for readers who are not familiar with the personal details of the Chrisley family).
4. Using “this incident” instead of a specific phrase from the original text to refer to Lindsie waking up Chloe, which makes the sentence more concise and easy to read.
Savannah continued, “My mom approached my dad, saying, ‘This isn’t right. Chloe has a routine set,’ but Lindsie quickly became furious. She began shouting, yelling, and even hurled profanities at my mother, calling her numerous unpleasant names.
The Growing Up Chrisley alum noted that “that’s when Lindsie’s time on the show came to an end.”
TopMob News has reached out to Lindsie’s rep but has yet to hear back.
Following the airing of Back to Reality, they showed a segment where Lindsie spoke about her account of the events during an interview on The Dr. Phil Show. In this, she stated that “the disagreement intensified and Julie pushed me at my throat.” In response, Chase expressed his belief that Lindsie’s story was filled with “a lot of nonsense.
He continued, expressing his anxiety around strangers getting too near. ‘You can’t always trust people, even if they’re strangers.’ In his eyes, once blood has betrayed you, a stranger is just as likely to do so.
The upcoming Chrisley show trailer hinted at discussions about their strained relationship with Lindsie, implying that she may have collaborated with authorities in the initial investigation against Todd and Julie, which was later dismissed by President Donald Trump following their parents’ pardon for tax evasion offenses three months ago.
In the preview, Savannah stated that the prosecutors had read a letter written by Lindsie to the FBI. She clarified that this action meant they were no longer part of the same family and should drop her last name.
Her younger brother Grayson seemingly agreed, saying, “We’ve had own family members betray us.”
In the meantime, Lindsie, who remains connected with her grandmother, affectionately known as Nanny Faye, revealed that it has been more than a year since she last communicated with Todd and Julie.
On her show, Southern Tea, she mentioned in March that it’s been a while since she last saw her father and they haven’t had any communication recently. She chose not to share anything beyond this point.
Keep reading for more on the Chrisley family…
Todd Chrisley, a native of Georgia born in April 1969, is the head of the Chrisley clan. Raised in South Carolina, he had his first marriage to Teresa Terry, which resulted in the birth of their daughter Lindsie (1989) and son Kyle (1991). Following their separation, Todd tied the knot with Julie Chrisley (born January 1973 in South Carolina) in 1996.
Julie and Todd grew their family with children Chase, Savannah, Grayson, and Chloe, who is Kyle’s adopted daughter. Their journey was not without difficulties; one of the most significant trials they faced was Julie’s 2012 breast cancer battle (now cancer-free).
Prior to reality TV fame, Todd made a substantial portion of their wealth through his real estate business, while Julie worked at a bank before meeting him. Their lives were chronicled on “Chrisley Knows Best,” a show that ran from 2014 to 2023 and spawned spin-offs such as “Growing Up Chrisley” and “What’s Cooking With Julie?” along with other media ventures like family members’ podcasts.
In 2022, Todd and Julie were found guilty of fraud and tax crimes and were sentenced to 12 and seven years in prison, respectively (with him being incarcerated in Florida and her in Kentucky). The couple maintained their innocence during the trial.
However, in May 2025, President Donald Trump granted them pardons, and they were subsequently released from prison.
In September of 1989, Lindsay Todd’s oldest daughter, born from his marriage to Teresa, was Lindsay. She attended Georgia State University where she met and eventually married Will Campbell in 2012. Their son, Jackson, was born that December, and Lindsay graduated around the same time. In 2012, Chrisley Knows Best debuted, during which viewers saw tension between Lindsay and her father Todd. The couple divorced in 2016, and Lindsay left the show a year later.
In subsequent years, there was a public rift between Lindsay and her family, but they reconciled briefly in crossover episodes of their podcasts in 2022. However, this reconciliation was short-lived, as Lindsay stated on her podcast, The Southern Tea, in March 2025 that she has not seen her father for some time and is also estranged from her siblings.
In a podcast with Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra in April 2025, Lindsay explained, “We can be in the same space doing the same things, but we don’t necessarily agree or align, and it’s no hate, it’s no ill will.” But after Todd and Julie were pardoned in May 2025, Lindsay expressed optimism on Instagram Stories, saying, “With God all things are possible.”
Kyle, born on the 19th of August, 1991, is Todd’s oldest son from his previous marriage to Teresa. In November 2012, he became a father to daughter Chloe, whose mother is Angela Johnson. However, in 2016, Todd and Julie adopted Chloe.
Kyle featured on the first season of Chrisley Knows Best (with a brief reappearance in 2021), but his past legal issues and tumultuous family relationship, marked by periods of estrangement and reconciliation, have often made news headlines. He’s been open about his struggles with mental health and addiction, revealing on Facebook in 2019 that he’s now sober.
In 2021, Kyle married Ashley Nelson and became a father to her children Haiden and Mackenzie.
Regarding his relationship with Todd and Julie, he has expressed his desire to reconnect with them upon their release from prison. In an interview with TopMob News in May 2025, he said, “I know they are eager to return home and be with family, and I’ll continue to hope for another opportunity for reconciliation.
Todd’s firstborn, Chase, joined the family in June 1996, welcomed by Todd and his wife Julie. Apart from featuring on “Chrisley Knows Best” with his parents and siblings, he co-starred alongside his sister Savannah in “Growing Up Chrisley” from 2019 to 2022.
Chase was formerly engaged to Emmy Medders, but they split up and reunited before parting ways officially in 2023. Later in the same year, he started dating Jodi Laine Fournerat, often sharing pictures of them on his Instagram, including shots with his grandma, Nanny Faye Chrisley.
Following his parents’ imprisonment, Chase discussed the bond between him and his siblings. In an interview with “Extra” in 2023, he shared, “We’ve definitely gotten a lot closer. When you get hit with something like this, I feel like a lot of people either separate and go their own ways or they cling together, which is how we were raised. We’ve clung together and we’re still fighting.”
In January 2025, Chase encountered legal trouble in Atlanta, being arrested on a simple battery charge for reportedly becoming intoxicated and slapping a bar manager upon being asked to leave, according to TopMob News records. His lawyers clarified to “People” that the incident was exaggerated, stating, “He did not assault anyone. Chase was trying to close out his tab and leave. We will be independently investigating the situation.”
Besides his reality TV career, Chase is also an entrepreneur, having launched a candle brand and roofing company.
As an ardent admirer, let me share my perspective: Back in 1997, Todd and Julie, my idols, brought a little ray of sunshine into the world – none other than the radiant Savannah. Early on, she graced the pageant stage, winning Miss Tennessee Teen USA in 2016 and battling for the Miss Teen USA title. Her journey didn’t halt there as she shone brightly on various reality and competition shows like “Chrisley Knows Best,” “Growing Up Chrisley,” “The Masked Singer,” “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test,” and even real estate agent-ing in Tennessee. She’s also the mastermind behind Good Girl RX, host of the podcast “Unlocked,” and a force to be reckoned with!
In her personal life, she found love with hockey player Nic Kerdiles in 2019, but fate had other plans as they parted ways the following year. Tragically, he met his end in a motorcycle accident in 2023. After that, she was romantically linked to Robert Shiver; however, they called it quits in April 2025 after nearly two years together.
During her parents’ stint in prison, Savannah stepped up as a guardian angel, taking care of her brother Grayson and sister Chloe. At the 2024 Republican National Convention, she poignantly declared, “72600019 and 72601019 – these numbers may seem like mere digits to you, but they represent my parents’ identifications in our federal prison system.”
After former President Trump granted Julie and Todd clemency and they were released from prison, Savannah shared heartwarming footage of their homecoming, including a touching message that read “Reunited and it feels so good.
Grayson is the youngest child of Todd and Julie, having been born in May 2006. He became well-known when the show “Chrisley Knows Best” started airing eight years later. Currently, he attends the University of Alabama, and people often recognize him there. In a February 2025 episode of Savannah’s podcast “Unlocked,” Grayson stated, “It’s been crazy; it’s more than ever happened here.”
After Julie and Todd went to prison, Savannah took custody of both Grayson and Chloe. In a July 2023 Instagram post, she wrote, “I’m not their mom or dad, I’m their sister, and I get to love and guide them through life. Being a bonus parent is tough…but these kiddos have shown me so much love, patience, grace, understanding, and appreciation! Helping to raise these two kids is the hardest but most rewarding job I will ever have.”
Savannah’s relationship with Grayson grew stronger over time. In a May 2024 Instagram post for his 18th birthday, she wrote, “Many people look at our situation and think, ‘She saved him,’ but little do they know… YOU saved ME.
Todd and Julie became Chloe’s grandparents when Kyle had a child with Angela Johnson in November 2012, which they later adopted four years later. This is a touching moment for them as expressed by Julie on Instagram in February 2018: “This child brings so much joy to our family. What did we do without you?”
The family refers to Chloe as CoCo, and fans have watched her grow up with Todd and Julie on the show Chrisley Knows Best. However, when Todd and Julie went to prison, Savannah took over as guardian for Chloe. In November 2023, Savannah shared her feelings about Chloe’s 11th birthday on Instagram: “Watching her grow has been the biggest blessing of my life… she has quite the personality! I wish I had her humor, her carefree spirit, and her heart. She is everything that I hope to be one day!”
In May 2025, after it was announced that Trump was pardoning Todd and Julie, Savannah shared Chloe’s reaction: “Chloe seems to still be in shock, and she doesn’t want to get her hopes up because she thinks something bad might happen. But I am excited to bring her dad home.
Faye Chrisley, affectionately known as “Nanny”, is Todd’s loving mother. In a heartfelt Instagram post for Mother’s Day in 2021, Todd expressed his gratitude, stating, “I am blessed beyond measure that God chose you to be my mother… I love you more than you will ever know and you fill my heart with love, hope, faith, and confidence.”
Born in September 1944 in South Carolina, Nanny spent her childhood there. She married army veteran Gene Chrisley and together they had sons Todd, Randy Chrisley, and Derrick Chrisley, the latter of whom sadly passed away as a baby. Tragically, Gene also passed away in 2012.
On the TV show Chrisley Knows Best, Nanny became a fan favorite with her humor, fun times with sister Frances (who passed away in 2022), dating escapades, and advice. Whether she was at the casino, enjoying a glass of wine, or spending time with family, she demonstrated to viewers how to have a good time.
However, Nanny has faced hardships as well. Alongside Todd and Julie’s legal troubles, Nanny was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2021. But two years later, she shared that she had overcome her health battle.
During an episode of Lindsie’s podcast The Southern Tea, as reported by People, Nanny shared, “I’m in remission, thank God… I’ve been out moving around, doing the best I can.”
Nanny’s approach to life has always been resilient. As she put it on Savannah’s podcast Unlocked, “The world don’t always give you a good deck of cards to play with, so you play with them the best you can… You get up, brush yourself off and keep going.”
