David Mitchell

After my successful stint with Robert Webb in the realm of BBC Radio 4’s sketch comedy, we transitioned our partnership to television with That Mitchell & Webb Look. Concurrently, I shared screen time with my partner once more in the critically acclaimed sitcom Peep Show, a creation by Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong, who later rose to prominence as a writer for Succession.

After wrapping up that series in 2015, Mitchell might have gained more recognition for his ongoing role as a team captain on Would I Lie to You? alongside Lee Mack. Last year, he even starred as the lead in Ludwig, a detective comedy-drama on BBC One, where he portrays an introverted puzzle enthusiast who takes on his twin brother’s role when he goes missing.

Robert Webb

Apart from those collaborative works with David Mitchell, such as “The Mitchell & Webb Look” sketch show and the popular sitcom “Peep Show,” Robert Webb has also appeared in other productions. Some examples include his roles in “Back” and various other projects throughout his career.

Besides his renowned appearances in Fresh Meat, The Bleak Old Shop of Stuff, Whitstable Pearl, and Death in Paradise, Webb is recognized for participating in Strictly Come Dancing in the year 2021; however, he had to step down due to health concerns before the competition’s completion.

Kiell Smith-Bynoe

Has Kiell Smith-Bynoe appeared in anything else besides Stath Lets Flats on Channel 4, Ghosts on BBC One, where he portrayed Mike the co-owner of Button House, and Netflix’s A Whole Lifetime and Sky’s Dreamland?

In addition to hosting The Great British Sewing Bee during its tenth series, he has also participated in Greg Davies and Alex Horne’s Taskmaster twice, first in season 15 and then as a champion in Champion of Champions III. Furthermore, he has been on Richard Osman’s House of Games, appearing in week 1 of season 7 and during the Champions Week.

Stevie Martin

Apart from the popular shows she’s been part of, Stevie Martin has also made appearances in Breeders on Sky, Starstruck on BBC Three, Late Night Mash on Dave, and more recently, Here We Go.

Krystal Evans

Besides her work as a stand-up comedian, Krystal Evans hasn’t appeared in any notable film or television roles yet.

Upon learning she was cast in Mitchell and Webb Are Not Helping, she expressed: “I never thought I’d have a chance of being picked, but just receiving an audition invitation was thrilling beyond words. It felt like a significant milestone in my career, although I couldn’t help but feel nervous about it.

Lara Ricote

Has Lara Ricote appeared in anything else apart from her screen acting debut? Previously, she had gained recognition on the comedy scene, with stints such as her performance on BBC’s Live at the Apollo. Her talent caught the eye after a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, leading to her joining Mitchell & Webb Are Not Helping.

She expressed that the experience was fantastic. It was particularly meaningful to be involved, and she enjoyed herself immensely, especially as it was her initial attempt at something similar. The entire event was exceptionally thrilling for her.

On Friday, 5th September at 10pm, you can catch the premiere of “Mitchell and Webb Are Not Helping” on Channel 4. You can also stream it on Channel 4’s official website.
