VMAs 2025: Landon Barker Makes Red Carpet Debut With Skyla Sanders

Landon Barker is all about the big things.

At the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards in New York on September 7, the artist known for “Friends With Your Ex” made a significant move in his relationship with his girlfriend Skyla Sanders, as they appeared together on the red carpet. (Take a look at all the celebrities gracing the event.)

For their outing, Landon, aged 21, and Skyla, aged 20, coordinated in all-black outfits. Landon chose to wear a black suit without a shirt to display his chest tattoos, with one arm around the model. The model donned a strapless semi-sheer corset dress.

For the very first time, they appeared hand-in-hand on a glamorous red carpet event, following their confirmation on Instagram in May. Previously, Landon posted heartwarming pictures of them close and a symbolic tattoo dedicated to Skyla on his arm.

He captioned the snaps, “The inhale when you let it in!”

Even his father Travis Barker and stepmother Kourtney Kardashian give their approval to the relationship. The drummer of Blink-182 commented with a heart emoji, while Kourtney Kardashian, a star from the Kardashians family, referred to them as “cute couples.

To put it simply, following his relationship with Charli D’Amelio, Landon hasn’t been reserved about expressing his affection for Skyla. Notably, Skyla’s parents are the acclaimed director Rupert Sanders of Snow White and the Huntsman fame and Liberty Ross, a renowned model.

In simpler, more conversational terms: “Landon commented on her Instagram photo two days before the VMAs, exclaiming, ‘My dear one!'” or “Before the VMAs, Landon wrote on her Instagram post, ‘You’re so lovely, my love!’

Similarly, Mariah Carey, who will be presented with the Video Vanguard Award (previously given to artists like Katy Perry, Shakira, and Nicki Minaj), will also entertain us with her chart-topping hits.

Meanwhile, Busta Rhymes is taking home the inaugural Rock the Bells Visionary Award.

He expressed his excitement on Instagram before the show, saying something like: “This day won’t stop being fantastic!!! Never ending!!!! Today is another day filled with blessings, magic moments, and making history. More accolades are coming our way today!!!

Busta expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m thankful to @mtv and the @vmas for bestowing upon me the first-ever @rockthebells Visionary Award! This recognition honors my whole career and I’m truly grateful!
