
On July 29, 2015, Windows 10 was rolled out as the successor to Windows 8.1 by Microsoft. Ten years later, on October 14, 2025, support for Windows 10 PCs will cease (End of Life), meaning no more security updates or software patches through Windows Update. However, the software may still work after this date. To gain access to Microsoft-certified support until October 2028, a payment to their Extended Security Updates (ESU) system would be required.
