Approximately a year has passed since the controversy-filled Mormon TikTok influencer group MomTok, known for their series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, captivated Hulu subscribers. The second season was premiered during the summer months in the 2025 television schedule. Unsurprisingly, these mothers have garnered a substantial fanbase, with Mila Kunis being among them – so much so that her husband Ashton Kutcher made a surprise phone call to her from the cast.
At the TIFF premiere of “Knives Out 3: Wake Up Dead Man,” I couldn’t help but share my enthusiasm for a project close to my heart – a Salt Lake City-based show. When an interviewer inquired about it, I lit up and couldn’t contain my excitement. I swiftly shared the details of a recent phone call with Kutcher, revealing that it happened while he was on the east coast and caught me early. He playfully teased me, and I eagerly spilled the beans about our conversation!
He had traveled to New York for some event, and he called me via FaceTime. I must have been just waking up then, as he said something like, ‘This will make you smile.’
As I listen to her recount the story, one thought immediately stands out – perhaps due to my upbringing during the MTV Punk’d era, I find it hard to fully trust a 47-year-old individual. She either has an impressive knack for enduring pranks or has moved on from such antics. Regardless of her reasons, I’m relieved that she chose to honor his promise and stay.
Immediately following the statement, I swiftly rotated the camera to unveil that I’d encountered the girls from the more recent reality series. Eagerly, I also disclosed my joy, diving straight into an engaging conversation, expressing it thus: “I was thrilled and immediately plunged into a memorable exchange with them.
Later on, I picked up my phone, only to find the familiar faces from that series greeting me. I let out a surprised gasp, ‘Oh my goodness!’ They recognized me instantly and I responded warmly, ‘Hello ladies! What’s new?’ It was such a delightful surprise.
It’s quite a surprising turn of events, possibly revealing a brighter side to his recent pranks. As a shared admirer of the ladies from MomTok, I’m confident that it was a top-notch encounter and dialogue for you. You can watch the complete anecdote in the linked video below:
(Note: “one hell of a surprise” is replaced with “quite a surprising turn of events”, and “A+ experience” is replaced with “top-notch encounter”. The rest of the sentence structure remains similar.)

Wasn’t her experience a bit chaotic, don’t you think? She barely managed to make sense while encountering some of the most renowned Mormons at the moment. And their fame seems to be escalating at an unprecedented rate. Taylor Frankie Paul has recently emerged as one of the buzzworthy leads for The Bachelorette, joining the likes of Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt, who have also made headlines as announced contestants on Dancing with the Stars, Alix Earle. Here’s hoping this story mirrors the unexpected turns we can expect in Kunis’ upcoming Netflix release scheduled for 2025, and Season 3 of SLOMW. Keep your fingers crossed!
Currently, I’m finding joy in rewatching Ashton Kutcher’s surprise video call featuring The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, his wife included. It’s also delightful to learn that another celebrity has joined the ranks of reality TV enthusiasts.
