Michelle Williams, Thomas Kail Step Out at Emmys After Welcoming Baby

Looks like the sitter came through.

Michelle Williams and Thomas Kail stepped out for a date night at the 77th Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on September 14th, just weeks after Williams announced the birth of their third child, who was born via surrogate.

Oh my gosh, they were absolutely stunning! I’m completely obsessed with Blake and Ryan, and seeing them together at the event just… wow. They really do complete each other. They brought their adorable kids, Hart and the little one born in 2022, and the whole family was dressed in white! Blake wore this incredible vintage Chanel gown – seriously, a dream! – and Ryan looked so handsome in a white tux jacket with black pants and tie. They’re just the perfect couple, honestly. I can’t stop thinking about it!

Michelle, who is also a mother to 18-year-old Matilda (with the late Heath Ledger), recently announced the arrival of a new baby. She publicly thanked their surrogate mother during an appearance on *Jimmy Kimmel Live!* last month.

During the August 18th episode, the former *Dawson’s Creek* star publicly thanked Christine, explaining that while she didn’t carry their latest baby herself, their daughter is here thanks to Christine’s help.

Her evening out at the Emmys with Thomas came at a perfect time. She recently shared how challenging it’s been to juggle work and raising their three young children, all under the age of five.

She explained she’s incredibly busy and struggling to balance work and family life. She’s noticed a lot of talk about self-care, but feels overwhelmed trying to find the time. As a working mother, she already feels guilty about leaving her children, and doesn’t want to add to that by taking time for herself, even though she knows she needs to recharge.

Oh my gosh, you guys, Michelle is *killing* it! I was so thrilled to see she got nominated for her incredible work in *Dying for Sex*! She’s up for Outstanding Lead Actress against some seriously amazing women – Cristin Milioti from *The Penguin*, Meghann Fahy who I adore in *Sirens*, the legendary Cate Blanchett from *Disclaimer*, and Rashida Jones from *Black Mirror*! I’m literally screaming, she deserves all the awards!

Taking on the role of Molly, a woman with terminal cancer exploring her sexuality, was a significant opportunity for Michelle. However, she credits her family, especially her teenage child, with giving her the final push to accept the part.

As someone who’s navigated a few creative projects, I completely understand the need for a strong support system, especially when you’re tackling really challenging or unconventional subjects. I was recently talking about my latest show – it deals with pretty big themes like sex and death, and honestly, there were a lot of unknowns going in. I told *New York* magazine that having the encouragement of my family and friends – my ‘home team,’ as I call them – was absolutely crucial. It was that support that gave me the confidence to say, ‘Let’s do this!’ and really go for it.
