Emmys 2025: Hannah Einbinder Reveals Hacks Will End With Season 5

Hannah Einbinderwon’t be a hack for much longer.

I was thrilled to hear that Hannah Einbinder, who absolutely deserved her Emmy for *Hacks* last September, shared some thoughts on the show’s future. Apparently, the next season will be the last one, and she talked a bit about how she’s feeling as they prepare to film it. It’s a little sad to think it’s ending, but I’m so excited to see how it all wraps up!

Hannah shared with Emmy host Heather McMahan on the red carpet that starting the new season next week feels different, especially knowing it’s the final one. She described the experience as both happy and sad – bittersweet – as the show comes to an end. The ceremony was hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze.

You know, looking back on things, even when they end hard, I always say it’s best to recognize when it’s time to move on. There’s something really beautiful about doing something for as long as it feels right, and then gracefully stepping away. It’s about fully embracing the experience – the joy, the tears, everything – and knowing when you’ve gotten all you can from it. It’s okay to feel it all, and then let go!

Despite the show, featuring Jean Smart, ending soon, Hannah expressed her gratitude and shared some humor, just as she did in her acceptance speech.

From the stage, the 30-year-old explained that they used to believe it was somehow ‘cooler’ to keep failing. They admitted being very attached to that idea, but then added, ‘This is good too. This is a rebellious spirit as well.’

Hannah expressed her sincere thanks to the show’s creators, Paul W. Down, Lucia Aniello, and Jen Statsky, going beyond just making light of things.

She went on to express her gratitude to the team behind *Hacks*, saying they’ve profoundly impacted her life. It wasn’t just the fantastic job they gave her, she explained, but also the close friendship and family-like support they’ve provided.

Hannah became emotional while thanking Jean, who also received an award for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series – marking her fourth win for the show.

She expressed her gratitude for Jean Smart, describing her as a radiant and inspiring presence, and also thanked everyone involved in the making of *Hacks*.

Oh my gosh, the Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category was *brutal*! I was seriously rooting for Olivia Colman in *The Bear*, she’s just phenomenal! And Jamie Lee Curtis too, honestly, anything she’s in is gold, especially *The Bear*! Cynthia Erivo was amazing in *Poker Face*, such a cool show, and Robby Hoffman in *Hacks* was hilarious. Zoë Kravitz in *The Studio* was good too, but… ugh. It went to Julianne Nicholson for *Hacks*. She’s great, don’t get me wrong, but I just wanted one of my girls to win! Still, *Hacks* is fantastic, so I guess I can’t be *too* upset.
