Prince Harry is defending his truth.
Nearly three years after publishing his revealing memoir, *Spare*, which detailed his experiences growing up as Prince William’s younger brother, Prince Harry refuted claims that the book was simply an attempt to publicly expose his family’s private issues.
In an interview with The Guardian published on September 14th, Harry said delivering the message was challenging, but he felt he had handled it as well as he could. He added that he felt good about how he approached it, saying, ‘My conscience is clear.’
The book covered a lot of personal ground, including Harry’s history with drug use and the difficulties in his relationship with his brother, but the 41-year-old maintained he was just being honest about his life.
Harry explained that his actions involved fixing inaccuracies in previously published stories. He felt a particular perspective had been presented, but needed to be balanced with the truth. He acknowledged that challenging the established story sometimes upsets people and goes against what they expect.
Despite everything, Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, always encouraged him to be honest, believing it was the best way to navigate life. They share two children: Prince Archie, age 6, and Princess Lilibet, age 4.
He remembered her telling him, “Just tell the truth.” He explained that it was a principle he always returned to, always. He believed that if you truly thought this way, no one would bother to lie, because it’s too much work and takes too much effort.
Although Harry wants to repair his strained relationship with his father, King Charles III, particularly now that the King is battling cancer, he acknowledges that his revealing memoir continues to cause tension within the family.
Harry, who recently had his first meeting with his father in almost two years, confessed that some family members will likely never forgive him for writing his book, and admitted that there are many things they disapprove of.
The problems between the royal family started well before Prince Harry’s book, *Spare*, came out. Also, the decision to remove his and Meghan’s security details – which eventually led them to move to Montecito, California in 2020 – remains a significant issue.
Harry told the BBC in May that he’s been having disagreements with some family members for years. He said the main issue now, the one thing they haven’t resolved, is a matter of life and safety.
Harry also mentioned that his father potentially has the ability to help ease some of the safety issues his family is facing.
My father has a lot of influence and power in this situation,” he said. “The issue could be solved by him, not by directly getting involved, but by letting the professionals handle things.”

After a nearly two-year gap, Prince Harry was spotted arriving at Clarence House-the King’s home in London-likely to visit his father before attending another event in the city.

Just a day before turning 78, the royal was made an honorary Vice Admiral by the Royal Navy.

Prince Harry told the BBC on May 2nd that he was deeply upset by the outcome of his legal fight. He stated that, as things currently stand, he doesn’t foresee returning to the UK with his wife and children.
In an interview with the BBC on May 2nd, Prince Harry said his father, King Charles III, isn’t currently speaking to him due to disagreements about security arrangements, but he expressed hope they could repair their relationship.
As someone who’s followed family dynamics for years, I can definitely relate to wanting to bridge gaps. Prince Harry has expressed a real desire to reconnect with his father and brother, which is lovely to hear. Ultimately, though, it seems like the next step is up to his dad, King Charles. It’s a waiting game, and a lot depends on whether they’re willing to meet him halfway.
He doesn’t foresee returning to the U.K. with his family anytime soon. He expressed sadness at the thought of his children never getting to know his home country.
Harry explained that his father has significant influence and could potentially solve the situation. He suggested this wouldn’t require direct involvement, but rather letting go and allowing the professionals to handle things and continue their work.
After years of fighting, he’s now seeking peace and a way to make amends. He explained, “Life is short, and I don’t know how much time my father has left.”
Oh my gosh, it’s been over a year since King Charles first told us about his cancer, and I just read his message from April 29th! He says going through everything – the health battles, the treatment – has really shown him how amazing people can be. It’s just… so moving to hear him say that. It really puts things into perspective, you know? It’s like he’s seeing the absolute best in everyone, and honestly, it makes me feel so hopeful!
In a booklet offering support to cancer patients, Charles wrote that receiving a diagnosis is understandably scary for both individuals and their families. However, drawing from his own experience, he emphasized that it can also reveal incredible kindness and strength in people.
He expressed his gratitude to the healthcare workers who cared for him, and shared that the experience deepened his respect for the incredible work done by the organizations and people present, many of whom he’s known and supported for years.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla joined the rest of the royal family in celebrations, but Prince William and Kate chose to spend the weekend at their country home in Norfolk with their children, according to several news sources.
This was the second Easter the couple missed, following the Princess of Wales’ announcement last week that she is undergoing cancer treatment.
On April 15th, Jason Knauf was named the new CEO of The Earthshot Prize, Prince William’s environmental organization. In a statement on the website, Knauf expressed his excitement about collaborating with the team and community to pursue their goal of hopeful solutions for the planet.
He received a promotion almost seven years after he reported concerns about Meghan Markle’s behavior, claiming she bullied two personal assistants and tried to discredit another staff member. Representatives for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle denied the accusations, telling *The Times* that the claims were false and part of a deliberate effort to damage their reputation.
As a longtime follower of the Royal Family, I was very concerned when those allegations surfaced. Thankfully, Buckingham Palace looked into everything, and I understand the investigation concluded in 2022. It’s a shame they haven’t shared what they found, but at least it’s been dealt with, as far as I know.

I was so incredibly saddened to hear about Prince Frederik. He was only 22 years old, the son of Prince Robert and Princess Julie, and he passed away on March 1st after a brave fight with PolG mitochondrial disease. It’s such a rare and terrible genetic disorder, and my heart goes out to his family.
Robert shared in a statement that Frederik is a superhero to him, their family, and countless friends. Thanks to Frederik’s PolG Foundation, his positive impact now reaches people around the globe. Robert believes Frederik’s strength lies in his ability to inspire others and lead by being a role model.

Oh my gosh, I’m absolutely heartbroken for Meghan! Apparently, her sweet rescue beagle, the one she adopted way back in 2015 – even *before* she met Prince Harry! – just passed away. I mean, she’s loved that little guy for so long, it’s just devastating to think about. I can’t imagine how much she’s hurting right now.
In an Instagram post on January 7th, she shared her feelings, saying she’d been crying so much that it felt endless. She described how she’d often try to wash away her tears in the shower, hoping to feel better, but ultimately accepting that it’s okay to feel sad.
Oh, my Guy… honestly, after all these years, I just wanted to tell him thank you. Thank you for *everything*. He’s just… given me so much unconditional love, and it’s meant the world to me. He’s completely filled my life with joy, more than he could ever even realize. It’s like, he’s just… everything.
