Tensori is launching its backrooms exploration game, *POOLS*, on PlayStation 5 with support for PlayStation VR2 on November 25th. A demo is available now in the PlayStation Store, and while it currently works on standard screens, PlayStation VR2 support will be added soon.
POOLS first launched for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, and itch.io on April 26, 2024.
When the PlayStation 5 version releases, it will include the full game, the ‘Chapter 0’ expansion, and compatibility with PlayStation VR2.
Here is an overview of the game, via Tensori:
POOLS drops players into eerie, abandoned swimming pools and underwater hallways. The game combines beautiful, empty spaces with a feeling of unease, leaving you wondering if you’re truly alone. It plays with your perception, making you question what’s real and what’s a dream.
Created by a small team of four people in Finland called Tensori, the game *POOLS* quickly became surprisingly popular. It won the “Best Creative Achievement of the Year” award at the Finnish Game Awards, received a very positive 95% rating on Steam, and helped the developers at Tensori establish a successful and lasting game studio from what started as a hobby.
Players with a PlayStation 5 can enjoy both the original *POOLS* game and its “Chapter 0” expansion on their TV or in virtual reality using a PlayStation VR2 headset. The VR2 version will be available as a free download.
