RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Monét X Change Engaged to Andy Short

Monét X Change has found her all star.

RuPaul’s Drag Race star, 35, shared the happy news that she’s engaged to her partner, Andy Short. She posted photos of his proposal, which took place in a dimly lit room decorated with sunflowers.

“Locked in,” the drag queen (real name Kevin Akeem Bertin) wrote on Instagram Sept. 17, followed by a ring emoji and couple emoji. 

Many drag queens celebrated the news, including Trinity The Tuck, who co-won season 4 of *RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars*, and wrote, “OMG CONGRATS TWINNER!!!!”

Judge Michelle Visage from the reality series also expressed her excitement for the couple, simply writing, “OMG CONGRATS!!!!”

In a post of his own, Andy also revealed he’s the one who popped the question.

He announced the happy news on Instagram on September 17th, sharing a photo of the *Drag Race* season 10 star showing off a beautiful diamond ring. He also thanked everyone who helped him plan the surprise.

Andy, a personal trainer, thanked everyone who assisted in creating the romantic setup, and also mentioned his agreement with his new fiancé to go along with it.

This news comes after fellow *Drag Race* contestant Alaska Thunderfk announced her engagement in August. She shared that her longtime partner, Matthew Herrmann, proposed in her hometown of Pennsylvania.

Season five contestant, Rachel, announced that her partner, Matthew Herrmann, proposed to her on August 4th, as she told Entertainment Weekly. The proposal happened right after a celebration for her grandmother’s 90th birthday.

Alaska (real name Justin Andrew Honard) added, “I love him so much and he’s the best.”
