D4vd Investigation: Home Singer Allegedly Stayed at Searched by Police

The Los Angeles Police Department continues to investigate the discovery of a body inside a Tesla previously owned by the artist D4vd.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the news about Celeste Rivas, and it’s heartbreaking. After confirming the remains belonged to the 15-year-old, police searched a home in the area where her car was originally found before it was towed to a Hollywood impound lot, as reported by NBC News. It’s a difficult time, and my thoughts are with her family and friends.

According to law enforcement sources, investigators searched on September 17th for things like digital devices that could show security footage or link Rivas to the location.

David Anthony Burke, known as D4vd, was living at the house before starting his national tour, according to law enforcement sources who spoke with ABC News. He does not own the property.

I’ve been frantically checking TopMob News for updates, and they said they’ve reached out to the LAPD but haven’t gotten anything yet. It’s killing me! I’m also desperate to hear *something* from D4vd’s team, but they’ve been totally silent since they found out about Rivas. They did tell NBC News a few days ago that D4vd knew what was going on and was helping the police, which is… good, I guess, but I just need to know he’s okay and what’s happening! I’m just glued to every news source, hoping for any little detail.

Police found the body of Alexis Rivas on September 8th at a Hollywood tow yard. They had been called to investigate a bad smell coming from a Tesla that had been towed a few days earlier. Inside the car’s front trunk, officers discovered Rivas’ remains, which were badly decomposed and wrapped in a bag, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Thirteen-year-old Rivas was reported missing on April 5, 2024, in Lake Elsinore, California. Her body was later found about 70 miles southeast of the city.

According to police, a Tesla registered to rapper D4vd in Hempstead, Texas, was found abandoned in the Hollywood Hills and has been impounded.

As many of you may have heard, D4vd had to unfortunately cancel his Seattle show on September 17th following some really difficult news. It was a tough decision, but he felt it was the right thing to do. The good news is the rest of his tour for his debut album, *Withered*, is still on! He’s looking forward to performing in San Francisco on September 19th and then bringing the show to downtown Los Angeles on September 24th. We’re sending all our support to D4vd and his fans during this time.

For more about D4vd, read on.

D4vd, whose full name is David Anthony Burke, was born in Queens, New York, and later moved to Houston, Texas, at the age of 13.

D4vd started his career by streaming games like Fortnite on YouTube, hoping to gain popularity. In 2021, he faced issues with copyrighted music in his videos and asked his mom for help.

He explained to Benny Blanco in a September 2024 interview with *Hero* magazine that he was feeling lost and frustrated, almost like he was complaining to his mom. He told her he wasn’t earning any money, but she simply told him to create his own music and leave her alone. That’s when it hit him – he realized he actually *could* do that.

D4vd, who had never made music beyond casual singing, began creating tracks using an app on his phone. His songs quickly gained popularity online, and as more of his music went viral on TikTok, his music career started to flourish.

He finally put out his first album, *Withered*, in April 2025, and quickly followed it up with his first tour around the world.

On September 8th, police in Los Angeles went to a Hollywood tow yard after reports of a bad smell coming from a car, according to NBC News sources.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m sharing some incredibly sad news. Authorities recently discovered human remains inside a Tesla registered to David Anthony Burke, who many of you know as the artist D4vd. The remains were found carefully concealed in the vehicle’s front trunk, and the car was registered to an address in Hempstead, Texas. It’s a truly heartbreaking situation, and our thoughts are with everyone affected.

According to police, the car was towed to the impound lot because it had been left abandoned in the Hollywood Hills.

On September 16th, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the remains found in a Tesla belonged to Celeste Rivas, who had been missing since April 5, 2024. Celeste was 13 years old when she disappeared and was 15 at the time of the identification.

Records from the Medical Examiner’s Office, obtained by TopMob News on September 17th, show the official cause of death is still under investigation. While her body was found on September 8th, investigators believe it had been in the car for a significant amount of time beforehand and was badly decomposed.

After Rivera’s body was found, a representative for D4vd told NBC News that the singer has been notified and is working with the police, even while continuing his tour.

D4vd’s concert in Seattle on September 17th was cancelled after his identity was confirmed. He is next scheduled to perform on September 19th in San Francisco.
