Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton didn’t exactly start off on the right note.
Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton, both known for their roles as Juliette Barnes and Rayna James on the CMT series *Nashville*, had an awkward experience filming their first scene together. Hayden later said the experience left her feeling awful.
In a recent interview with *Entertainment Weekly*, the 36-year-old recalled their first scene together. It was filmed backstage at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, and involved their character being complimented by Rayna, to which they responded with subtle hostility.
Hayden, who has a 10-year-old daughter named Kaya Evdokia Klitschko with her former partner Wladimir Klitschko, explained that she repeatedly apologized to the actor from *Friday Night Lights* after the incident.
She explained it was their first time doing something together, and she didn’t want to upset anyone. “It can be really intense,” she said.
Hayden shared that the show *Nashville*, which aired from 2012 to 2018, was initially planned as a series focused solely on Connie Britton’s character, Rayna. But after viewers responded so well to the character of Juliette, the show evolved into a story about the rivalry between those two country stars.
Hayden explained that the intense competition made it challenging at times, especially when they were pitted against each other. He added that the situation didn’t turn out as expected, making it hard to get involved.
Despite everything, the actor from *Heroes* thought Connie was fantastic and incredibly supportive while they worked together.
Connie is a truly exceptional person. I felt incredibly honored to work alongside her – she’s both intelligent and insightful. I think we helped each other stay balanced and realistic throughout the entire experience.
Hayden Panettiere says she’d definitely be on board if they ever decided to bring back the show *Nashville*.
In a recent interview with *Glamour*, Hayden said she hadn’t fully thought about what she’d want to see in a potential continuation of *Nashville*. However, she pointed out that the show remained consistently good throughout its six seasons, with storylines that only became more compelling over time, proving they always had fresh ideas.
