Lindsay Arnold is defending her Dancing With the Stars family.
The former professional dancer from the reality show shared her strong opinions about criticism of *Dancing with the Stars* following the premiere of its 34th season on September 16th.
In a TikTok video posted on September 18th, Lindsay expressed her disappointment with negative comments she’d seen online. She said she was upset by the number of videos criticizing the professional dancers, the dance group, and the show’s hosts and judges. She reminded viewers that these are real people with feelings, and the negativity was making her feel unwell.
Let me tell you, as someone who looks at relationships and real life a lot, *The Summer I Turned Pretty* isn’t just entertainment. It’s easy to watch Conrad, Belly, and Jeremiah and judge what they do, but we have to remember these aren’t characters in a story-they’re people whose choices have real consequences, and it’s not as simple as just commenting from the sidelines.
I’ve been a huge fan of this dancer for years! Seeing them on *Dancing with the Stars* for ten seasons was incredible, and I was so thrilled when they won season 25 with Jordan Fisher. It’s awesome that they’re now using their platform to inspire others to make the most of their time – such a positive message!
Honestly, whenever I see people spending their time making negative videos or actively trying to tear others down with comments, it really makes me think. It seems like they’re avoiding looking inward and working on themselves. It just feels like a waste of energy, and it makes me re-evaluate what *I* should be focusing on. It’s a good reminder to prioritize self-improvement instead of negativity.
Okay, seriously, can we talk about Rylee? My girl is KILLING it on Season 34 with Scott Hoying, and honestly, I’m obsessed! But it’s not just that she’s amazing – my sister would literally fight anyone for Rylee, and I feel that SO hard. I’d do the same! She said she’d go to bat for her ’til the day she dies, and that just perfectly sums up how everyone feels about Rylee. She’s incredible and deserves all the good things!
Lindsay continued, “I really care about everyone involved – they’re like family to me. I want to be clear that being a professional athlete is incredibly challenging. It’s honestly funny to me when people who haven’t experienced it think they understand what it takes.”

The mother of two asked people to stop negatively criticizing celebrities and others they see on television.
Lindsay asked them to be more considerate. She requested they stop forcing her to make videos defending her friends on a show they clearly watch constantly, and suggested they try being more positive about it.
