Cole Palmer has quickly become a standout young player in England since joining Chelsea, and he’s even developed a unique goal celebration that’s all his own.
Many fans have nicknamed this move the ‘Cold Palmer,’ and it’s now available in EA Sports FC. You can try it out in the game, but it still needs time to reach the same legendary status as Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘Siu’ celebration.
So, how do you perform the Cole Palmer celebration in FC 26? Here’s what you need to know.
How to do the Cole Palmer celebration in FC 26
Cole Palmer’s goal celebration is easy to copy: just score, then press the ‘X’ button on a PlayStation controller or the ‘A’ button on an Xbox controller to recreate it.
If you’ve scored a goal with anyone in FC 26 other than Cole Palmer, the game gets a little trickier.
To perform Cole Palmer’s celebration in FC 26, input the following:
- PlayStation – Press L2 and rotate the RS clockwise
- Xbox – Press LT and rotate the RS clockwise
- Nintendo Switch – Press zR and rotate the RS clockwise
Plus, there’s a catch: you can only do the Cole Palmer celebration if the player doing it has an Agility stat lower than 75.
Okay, so I found out something really cool! If you try to do the celebration with a player who has 75 Agility or more, instead of the usual move, they’ll actually do Sam Kerr’s awesome backflip! It’s a neat little detail and makes the game even more fun.
It’s frustrating because many skilled players have 75 Agility, so your player who scores probably won’t be able to do this celebration very often.
‘Cold Palmer’ celebration explained
Surprisingly, the celebration he’s now famous for actually originated with Morgan Rogers, another player who came through the Manchester City academy like him, and currently plays for Aston Villa.
Rogers debuted the celebration in December 2023 after scoring the winning goal in a Championship game for Middlesbrough against West Bromwich Albion.
Palmer later mentioned that after his son, Morgz, did a celebration for Middlesbrough, he promised himself he’d do the same if he scored a goal.
After Cole Palmer scored for Chelsea against Luton Town, he copied the celebration first done by Jack Grealish, creating the nickname ‘Cold Palmer,’ which he’s used for every goal celebration since.
