Chloë Grace Moretz is reflecting on her life-changing, killer summer.
Three weeks ago, actress Chloë Grace Moretz, known for her roles in films like *Kick-Ass*, secretly married her partner, Kate Harrison. This happened while Moretz was busy filming a thriller and preparing for her off-Broadway play, *Caroline*.
Chloë explained on the *Today* show on September 22nd that she’s had a busy few months. Between filming her movie *The Edge of Normal*, rehearsing for a demanding new project, and getting married, she finds it amusing how actors often portray dark characters on screen while simultaneously experiencing incredibly happy and important moments in their personal lives.
She added, “It was a wonderful break and a nice juxtaposition, for sure.”
Model Chloë and photographer Kate got married over Labor Day weekend, according to Vogue. For the wedding, they both wore custom outfits designed by Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton. Chloë wore a light blue dress and veil, while Kate chose a classic white gown.

It’s been a whirlwind lately! Between finishing up the movie I shot this summer, *The Edge of Normal*, and diving into rehearsals for this new, pretty heavy project, I also managed to get married – it was a dream! As an actor, it’s funny how things work out. One minute you’re embodying these really dark, complex characters, and the next you’re experiencing these incredibly joyful, life-changing moments. It’s a really strange but wonderful contrast.
She added, “It was a wonderful break and a nice juxtaposition, for sure.”
The couple got married wearing outfits created especially for them by Louis Vuitton, designed by Nicolas Ghesquière. The actress honored the ‘something blue’ tradition with a stunning pale blue dress and veil.

Kate, who works as both a model and photographer, opted for a classic wedding outfit. She wore a strapless bustier and skirt for the ceremony, then changed into a sheer tunic and trousers for the reception.
Chloë shared with *Vogue* that as soon as she and Kate got engaged, she contacted Nicolas at Louis Vuitton, hoping he’d design her wedding dress. He was incredibly enthusiastic, not only agreeing to create her dress but also offering to design Kate’s wedding dress and outfits for their after-party as well.
