5 Emmerdale spoilers next week

1. Robert Sugden is caught out by a visit from a mystery man

Having received a mystery text the week before, Robert is blindsided by the arrival of Kev.

After Kev asked for directions, he knocked. Robert glanced around to make sure no one in the village was watching before letting his acquaintance inside.

It’s clear that Kev is an acquaintance from Robert’s time in prison.

Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) comes home to a surprising sight: Robert holding hands with someone who isn’t Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), leaving her puzzled.

Once Robert has got rid of Kev, he knows he’s in for a grilling from his sister.

But who is Kev to Robert, and will he tell Aaron about him?

Aaron feels terrible for forgetting his baby sister Grace’s birthday, a day that marks both her birth and her passing.

Can Aaron make amends?

2. Gabby Dingle arrives in court as Vinny Dingle testifies against his attacker

Vinny is worried that Thomas, his new son, won’t accept him as a father. He’s also extremely scared about having to testify in court against the man, ‘Mike,’ who attacked and threatened him.

When Vinny learned the defense intended to call Gabby to testify, he misrepresented the details of the trial.

Vinny has decided not to testify in court to safeguard his relationship, and the attention now shifts to getting Kim Tate (Claire King) to agree to the adoption.

Kim fears Vinny will cut her son Jamie out of Thomas’s life. However, Vinny and Mandy reassure her that having a father figure will be incredibly important for Thomas.

The happy mood quickly changes when Mike shows up, unexpectedly interfering in Vinny’s life and demanding Gabby pay him money as some sort of settlement!

Vinny, feeling pressured, tells Mike he’ll sabotage the court case if Mike just leaves Gabby alone. However, Mike doesn’t realize Vinny is secretly planning to be honest in court.

Gabby starts to doubt Vinny’s story about the court case and asks him to tell the truth, but he continues to be dishonest and makes things worse.

Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) points out to Gabby that she’s keeping a secret too: she was unfaithful to Vinny before their wedding.

During the court hearing, Vinny starts to confront Mike, but he gets flustered when Gabby enters and stares him down. This happens right as he’s about to admit he first connected with Mike on an online forum for people exploring their sexual identity.

Will Vinny expose Mike, as well as his own struggles?

3. Leo Goskirk is rushed to hospital after April Windsor is forced into drug deal

Okay, so as a soap fan, it’s pretty clear April’s in trouble. She’s desperately trying to keep her secret life – dealing drugs, yikes! – hidden from Rhona, played by Zoë Henry. It’s a classic storyline, but it’s really ramping up the tension, and I’m on the edge of my seat to see if she’ll get caught!

Okay, so in this scene, Dylan – played by Fred Kettle – is completely floored when he sees April dealing drugs near the dorms. He’s desperate and immediately turns to Ray Walters, Joe Absolom’s character, practically pleading with him to help April get out of this situation. It’s a really tense moment, showing Dylan’s shock and Ray as potentially the only one who can intervene.

Ray pressures Dylan by using emotional manipulation and offering to handle their dangerous connections, convincing Dylan to let April continue dealing drugs so they can pay off their debts faster.

While watching Leo, April leaves him unattended to do a favor for Ray, and in her hurry, she accidentally leaves a bag of pills behind.

When April returned home, she was heartbroken to find Leo being taken away in an ambulance. At the hospital, the police and social services were notified about the situation.

It’s not long before Rhona suspects April is behind what’s happened.

But just as April considers coming clean, she sees some police officers and flees in a panic.

Ray hears April planning to confess everything to Dylan, and now he’s worried about losing control – what steps will he take to safeguard his power?

4. Celia Daniels upsets Paddy Dingle – while Bob Hope tries to woo her

Celia scares Paddy with a cruel joke about his dog attack, which happened on her land.

Moira Dingle quickly pressures Celia to make amends, and Celia successfully convinces Paddy to forgive her.

Meanwhile, an attempt to pick up Celia is fatal for Bob’s aura.

It’s going to be fascinating to see how Celia responds when Bob starts flirting with her – it’s bound to be a memorable TV moment!

5. Mackenzie Boyd clocks guilty Charity Dingle’s unease about the pregnancy

Charity Dingle feels guilty about her pregnancy and tries to hide it from Sarah Sugden while she anxiously awaits the results of a DNA test.

Mackenzie noticed Charity acting strangely and wondered if she was concerned that Sarah was becoming too enthusiastic.

But Charity quickly changes the subject.

Charity is keeping a secret about her night with Ross Barton, and Mack might start to suspect something isn’t quite right with her story.
