We’ve known an anime version of Death Stranding was in the works, but the first glimpse of the film is truly amazing.
The movie, animated by ABC Animation Studio in Japan, is using a striking, comic book-inspired visual style.
Unlike most modern anime that have a shiny, polished style, this artwork uses shading more like a traditional pencil drawing, giving it a distinct look.
Aaron Guzikowski, known for his work on *Raised by Wolves*, is writing the screenplay for the film, currently titled *Mosquito*. Hideo Kojima will produce the movie.
This isn’t a remake or retelling of the original game, but a brand new story taking place within the world of Death Stranding. While it features returning characters like Sam Bridges – as shown in the trailer – it’s a completely separate experience.
Okay, so they haven’t announced when this thing is coming out yet, but that first little trailer? Seriously, it’s got me SO hyped now! I can’t wait!
