Painkiller delayed to October 21, roguelike game mode revealed

3D Realms and Anshar Studios have pushed back the release date of the *Painkiller* remake – a new version of the popular first-person shooter – from October 9th to October 21st. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through Steam.

The companies also announced “Rogue Angel,” a completely separate game mode inspired by roguelike games. In Rogue Angel, players explore a new area called Purgatory, battling through randomly created arenas. They’ll find tarot cards, weapons, and other useful items, and face challenging bosses as they progress.
