Disney+ has expanded its offerings with a hugely popular crime show, adding some Nordic noir to its already extensive library.
Disney+ is now streaming the first three seasons of the popular detective series Vera, thanks to a continued collaboration with ITV. The show stars Brenda Blethyn.
If you haven’t seen it, “Vera” is a popular detective show about a brilliant investigator who solves challenging and disturbing murder cases in the beautiful countryside of North East England.
Vera ran for 56 episodes across 14 seasons and came to an emotional end in January of this year.
Along with Vera, The Tower has been added to the streaming giant, too.

After a police officer and a young girl tragically fell from a London tower block, Detective Constable Sarah Collins is tasked with unraveling the mystery of what truly happened that day. The case is complicated and she must carefully investigate to find the truth.
This July, Disney and ITV started a new partnership where they’ll offer each other’s streaming content. As part of this promotion, Disney+ subscribers can try ITVX, and ITVX subscribers can sample Disney+.
Disney+ is adding popular shows from ITV, including titles like Mr Bates vs the Post Office, Love Island, and Endeavour, for its subscribers to enjoy.
Vera’s previous seasons are available to watch on ITVX and Disney+.
You can buy individual episodes or seasons on Amazon Prime Video. And if you’re interested in the Vera series, you can find the first novel by Ann Cleeves here.
