Be aware: the following contains significant spoilers for the EastEnders episode that aired on September 25th, 2025. It’s currently available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
EastEnders has revealed what’s next for two of its characters, right as Stacey Slater decides whether or not to leave Walford.
I’m so excited for Stacey! Her brother, Sean, invited her and the kids to come live with him in Brazil, and her oldest, Lily, was absolutely over the moon about it. It’s a fantastic opportunity for them all.
Stacey hadn’t planned on it at first, but she finally decided to take a chance and booked one-way tickets for herself, Lily, Lily’s daughter Charli, and her own children, Arthur and Hope.
Stacey volunteered to be present when Charli’s mother and Lily told Ricky Branning (Frankie Day) the news, anticipating that his father, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), might react negatively.

After sharing the upsetting news with Jean, Stacey noticed Zoe Slater talking to Sharon Watts. They were discussing hiring someone to help locate Zoe’s son, which took Stacey’s attention away from the situation with Jean.
Concerned, Stacey and Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) told Zoe it was risky to involve Sharon.
Zoe just wanted to be reunited with her son and be a mother to him, and she didn’t worry about the details of how that would happen.
Honestly, Zoe’s story really got to me – especially when she talked about not knowing where her daughter was buried. It was so raw and emotional. Seeing that, I noticed Kat immediately turned to Stacey, clearly needing a hand with something. It felt like she wanted to do something to acknowledge the pain, and she needed Stacey’s help to figure out how.
At the community garden, Zoe remembered sharing drinks there with her old friend Kelly Taylor (Brooke Kinsella). Kat and Stacey then gave Zoe a plant to remember her daughter, which she appreciated, and Kat reassured her they would help locate her son.
But with Stacey missing in action, Lily struggled through telling Ricky and Jack about Brazil.
As expected, Jack reacted with anger. Meanwhile, Ricky, though disappointed, offered Lily kind support after she revealed her family needed to relocate following the death of her father, Martin Fowler (James Bye).
Lily was furious with Stacey for not being present when she needed support. Then, when she received a picture from Ricky – who Charli had playfully given a makeover to – she understood she couldn’t go through with taking their daughter away from her life.
Lily couldn’t stop thinking about Martin, so she chose to stay near Ricky and Charli instead of moving to Brazil. She told Stacey she wouldn’t be going after all, wanting to keep her children close.
Will Stacey continue in her plans to leave, or might this development change her mind?
