The retired NFL star revealed that he and wife Valerie Alexander are expecting their 14th baby.

Shaun, 48, revealed on the September 25th episode of the *Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams* podcast that his wife is expecting a baby, saying, “Number 14 is on the way.”

She announced on Instagram that she’s thrilled to be expecting a baby on February 17, 2026! She shared that children are miracles and blessings, and expressed gratitude to God for her family, calling them precious gifts.

The Seahawks’ running back and his wife shared a sweet moment after announcing their pregnancy. Their young child saw the mom-to-be’s baby bump and curiously asked, “Do you have a baby in your tummy? Is it true?”

I’ve been following this family for years, and it’s incredible! They got married back in 2002 and already have 13 wonderful children: Heaven, Trinity, Eden, Joseph, Justus, Temple, Honor, Jedidiah, Eternity, Hosanna, Hope, and Judea – their ages range from 2 to 22. Sadly, they also lost their daughter, Torah, when she was just two months old back in 2017. It’s a big family, but they seem so devoted to each other.

Valerie frequently posts pictures of her children online. Just last July, she shared a set of professional family photos and wrote on Instagram, “Our growing family through the years 2003-2024.”

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this family! They got married way back in 2002, and now they have *thirteen* incredible children! I know all their names – Heaven, Trinity, Eden, Joseph, Justus, Temple, Honor, Jedidiah, Eternity, Hosanna, Hope, and Judea – and they range in age from 22 all the way down to just 2 years old! It’s just…a beautiful, huge family. It breaks my heart to remember they also had a little girl named Torah, who was only 2 months old when she sadly passed away in 2017. They’re just…amazing.

Shaun and Valerie’s children are continuing the family’s athletic tradition. Their daughters, Trinity, 20, and Eden, 18, both compete in track and field at college, and their 16-year-old son, Joseph, plays football in high school.

Valerie shared on Instagram about Joseph’s first high school football game in August 2025! He hadn’t played as a freshman, but his dad’s homeschool program allowed him to join the team. Even after dealing with injuries, including a broken wrist over the past two months, Joseph had an amazing game, gaining over 100 yards as a receiver. Valerie highlighted that his strong faith and determination helped him succeed.

This past March, Joseph and his two brothers, Justus and Jedidiah, joined Shaun at the 2025 NFL Draft.

I asked Jedidiah what he wanted for his birthday, and he said he just wanted to spend time with me. So we made plans – that’s what we did! – and had a great time with my sons, as the 2005 NFL MVP shared on Instagram.
