The recent ‘Age of Revelation’ event has dramatically reshaped the Marvel Universe in a surprising way. This new reality, envisioned through the eyes of Apocalypse’s successor, Doug Ramsey, is set ten years in the future. Earth has been ravaged by the X-Virus and now faces a threat from the Revelation Territories, a seemingly perfect mutant society. However, a new team of X-Men, known as the Expatriate X-Men, is rising up to oppose the rule of Revelation.
The new X-Men comic, *Expatriate X-Men*, launches on October 29th. It’s a continuation of the *Exceptional X-Men* series, set during the Age of Revelation storyline. The team will face a dangerous mission that could cause major conflict within the group. ComicBook is offering an exclusive first look at the first issue, along with detailed character designs. Some of these designs were previewed at San Diego Comic-Con, but this is the first time fans can see them in full color and with this level of detail. You can find the designs below.
A New Status Quo For the X-Men (And New Challenges)
The latest X-Men storyline, Age of Revelation, has dramatically changed things for the mutant community. It presents a new take on the idea of a safe place for mutants, something that was previously explored during the popular Krakoa Era. However, this time, Doug Ramsey-now known as Revelation-is following Apocalypse’s plan to create a world where only the strongest survive. This means building a mutant paradise on a dark secret: the reshaping of Earth to eliminate humanity. Unsurprisingly, the X-Men aren’t going to accept this without a fight.

Marvel’s new comic, Expatriate X-Men #1, introduces a team of mutants – Ms. Marvel, Bronze, Melee, and Rift – who have come together after a period of conflict. Much like a rebuilt nation, they’ve taken control of the Mississippi River, creating a boundary between mutants and humans. Known for their effective but unconventional fighting style, the team maintains control until a dangerous mission to rescue someone important puts their unity to the test. Will they be able to stay together when faced with overwhelming challenges?
Expatriate X-Men #1 goes on sale October 29th.
