Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 Director Puts Fans at Ease Following Rebirth Concerns

Following some worries after the release of *Final Fantasy VII Rebirth*, the director of *Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3* has reassured fans. While *Rebirth* received positive reviews, it didn’t sell as well as publisher Square Enix had hoped. This led some fans to fear that the budget for *Part 3* might be cut, potentially impacting the game’s quality. However, the director has now addressed these concerns, suggesting that those fears are likely unfounded.

Naoki Hamaguchi, director of *Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3*, recently told Automaton that the team isn’t concerned about *Rebirth’s* sales affecting the third game. He explained that *Rebirth* has seen a significant boost in sales since its release on PC and is now performing strongly. Development on *Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3* is proceeding as scheduled, and the majority of the game is now playable.

We understand some fans are worried, but we’re confident the third game will be a full, high-quality experience,” Hamaguchi stated. “Development is progressing very smoothly, and we’re happy with how the game is coming together. We have a lot of content already playable, and we’ve established a clear vision for the game. Currently, the team is focused on polishing and perfecting everything.”

When Will FFVII Remake Part 3 Release?

Many fans are eager to find out when *Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3* will be released. Square Enix has confirmed they have a target launch date internally, but aren’t ready to announce it. However, based on what they’ve said before, the game is likely to come out in either 2027 or 2028.

If development stays on track, we might get our first look at *FFVII Remake Part 3* in 2026. *Final Fantasy VII Rebirth* was revealed in 2022, almost two years before it launched in 2024. Following that pattern, it’s likely Square Enix will show us *Part 3* around two years before its release. This would build hype among fans and allow them to officially announce the game’s title, moving beyond the current “Part 3” placeholder.

Square Enix has stated that *Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3* will eventually be released on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, and PC. However, like previous installments, it might launch as a PlayStation 5 exclusive first. We should learn more specific details when the game is officially announced.
