The final season of *My Hero Academia* is almost here, and the anime has released a last update before its premiere, hinting at an epic battle to come. Since the original manga concluded in Weekly Shonen Jump last summer, fans have been eager to see how the anime will adapt the ending. As the Fall 2025 anime season nears, *My Hero Academia* has also shared details about its upcoming premiere.
I just saw the first preview for the final season of *My Hero Academia*, and it’s set to premiere on October 4th! They’ve revealed the title of the first episode, “Toshinori Yagi: Rising Origin.” The preview shows a glimpse of the climactic battle, featuring Armored All Might facing off against All For One – it looks like the war is finally reaching its peak. You can check it out on the anime’s official social media pages.
My Hero Academia Season 8 Episode 1 First Details Revealed
The final season of *My Hero Academia* begins streaming on Saturday, October 4th for fans in the United States on both Crunchyroll and Hulu. Along with the premiere, the ending theme song, “I” by BUMP of CHICKEN, has been announced. The band Pornograffiti, who also created the opening theme for the very first season, is back with a new opening song called “The REVO.” The original voice actors from all seven previous seasons will also be returning.
The final season of *My Hero Academia* will be directed by Naomi Nakayama, who returns alongside the same talented team that has worked on the anime throughout its run. Yosuke Kuroda is back as the scriptwriter, with Kenji Nagasaki as chief director. Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima will once again handle character designs, and Yuki Hayashi will compose the music. It’s reassuring to know the series will conclude with the team who helped make it so successful.
How Will My Hero Academia’s Anime End?
Fans are wondering how the *My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON* anime will conclude the series. While the original manga had an ending, the author, Kohei Horikoshi, later added extra chapters to provide a more complete resolution. Viewers are hoping the anime will include these additional chapters, but it’s currently unknown if it will. Horikoshi has hinted that he’s also creating some new content specifically for the anime adaptation.
At Anime Expo 2025 this summer, creator Kohei Horikoshi shared that with the *My Hero Academia* manga complete, he’s been more involved in making the anime. He’s been able to suggest adding scenes and deepening the emotional impact of the show. It’s currently unknown if these additions will be the previously announced epilogue chapters or entirely new content, so fans will need to watch the new season to find out.
