Kate Gosselin Asks for Prayers as She Shares Photo From Hospital Bed

Kate Gosselin is looking for support.

The former star of Jon & Kate Plus 8 gave followers a health update, posting a photo of herself in a softly lit hospital room.

In a TikTok post on Sept. 29, Kate asked for support, writing, “Please pray for me tonight and tomorrow.” She added, “I will be fine, but I’m scared and would appreciate your prayers. Thanks, guys.”

The reality star shared a photo showing her arm resting with an IV drip connected, and a device measuring her oxygen levels clipped to her finger. In the caption, she said she would share more details later on.

Don’t worry, I’ll share a story when I have the chance,” she wrote in the caption, stressing this point. “Sending you all my love! I’ll be back as soon as possible!”

The 50-year-old, who was married to Jon Gosselin between 1999 and 2009, has stayed in touch with her followers online. She often shares updates about her life and relationships on social media.

She shared in a TikTok Q&A earlier this month that she’s been dating someone for just over a year-around “14, 15 months,” she said.

It’s someone I’ve known for a long time, and I’m really happy about it,” she said. “He doesn’t particularly like being on TikTok, and I understand why.

Kate, who has twins Mady and Cara, now 24, and 21-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Leah, Collin, Aaden and Joel, mentioned that viewers might “see him briefly from time to time.”

She recently shared a sweet glimpse of her children, featuring a photo from a Sept. 16 TikTok post of Aaden and Joel giving their dog, Meika, a kiss.

She explained in the video that this was their first road trip with Meika. The kids had come home to say goodbye, and they tried to tell her they wouldn’t miss her… sure, right?

As Kate begins a fresh phase of her life, she makes sure to fondly remember her history. Recently, she shared old photos on social media, showing her children at their home in Pennsylvania. The photos were from when the sextuplets were 6 years old and the twins were 9.

“These photos are really special,” she said in an August TikTok video. “I’d completely forgotten about them! I found them recently, and I’m excited to share them because the kids love how they turned out – they’re just so adorable. It was a really fun, silly little summer activity we did together, and I’d totally forgotten all about it.”

On May 10, 2025, the sextuplets Hannah, Collin, Alexis, Aaden, Leah and Joel celebrated their 21st birthdays. Kate shared photos from the party held for Alexis, Aaden, Leah and Joel.

Hannah celebrated her birthday with her dad and his fiancée Stephanie Lebo.

Kate posted a heartfelt message on Mother’s Day 2024, just two days after her sextuplets celebrated their 20th birthday. The tribute was specifically for the four of them who live with her: Alexis, Aaden, Joel and Leah.

“No more teenagers under my roof! Happy 20th birthday to my sweet children, who will always be my babies! I love you both so much!” she shared on Instagram. “Anyone else feeling ancient? Because I definitely am! #20yearsold #ItsaPICKLE.”

Hannah shared new pics of herself on her and the other sextuplet’s 20th birthday.

On to the next chapter! The sextuplet graduated from high school in 2023.

Jon posted a photo of twins Collin and Hannah receiving their high school diplomas in 2023, several years after they came to live with him.

Kate appeared with twin Mady and Cara in New York City in this 2019 pic.

“Happy 18th birthday!” Jon posted on Instagram in 2022. “We’re going to shout it from the rooftops today – it’s your birthday! I love you. Love, Dad.”

Our big celebration for turning #15 is coming to an end! We celebrated all day long, starting with a gift at 6:30 am before school! Kate wrote about this special milestone in 2019, saying she’s incredibly thankful for her ‘babies’… and can’t believe they’re 15 already! She added that she’s amazed by them every day and is so proud of the good qualities she’s seen them develop as they get closer to becoming adults.

“This was yesterday! It feels like school never even stopped, and now they’re back already!” Kate posted on Instagram in 2018, adding the hashtags #SeniorYear, #EighthGrade, and #ProudMom.

I told Leah she was still so small, no way she was about to be 14! And she actually said, ‘Yeah, true. Are you sure I’m not turning 11 or 12?’ It was so cute, but also heartbreaking! I’m absolutely positive of their ages, of course – I *gave birth* to them! They’ll always be my babies, no matter what. I just love them so, so very much!

Can you believe it? My little ones are 13 already! It feels like just yesterday they were babies. I shared on Instagram how I’m celebrating this huge milestone with my sextuplets. Rewind to 2014 whenKate and her children found themselves visiting Alaska. 

In 2014, Kate took her twin daughters, Cara Gosselin and Mady Gosselin, on a trip to New York City. During their visit, they made a stop at the Manhattan Hotel.

Sharing a cherished Christmas memory, Kate Gosselin posted a throwback photo on Instagram with the caption: “My 6 were 6. Christmas Eve 2010 and they’re SO excited for Christmas!” She added, “Look at those adorable smiles! #TheyAreMyHeart #My8ReasonsToKeepOnKeepingOn #NoMatterWhat #TrueLoveX8.”
