Emmerdale airs game-changing double twist for April Windsor drugs story in ITVX release

*Please be aware: The following contains spoilers from the Emmerdale episode that aired today, Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, and is currently available to watch on ITVX.*

You might have been surprised to learn that the most dramatic moment involving April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, in Emmerdale wasn’t just her causing a rush to the hospital for her half-brother, Leo Goskirk (Harvey Rogerson).

But the day is set to take an even darker turn for the teen.

After beginning to sell drugs for Ray Walters (Joe Absolom), April was discovered by her boyfriend, Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle), and he vowed to help her end it.

However, Ray took advantage of Dylan, convincing him to allow April to continue selling drugs to cover what they owed. This essentially meant Dylan agreed to let April continue dealing to settle their “debts”.

However, when April agrees to care for Leo, and Ray contacts her with a new assignment, she leaves a bag of pills at the house before leaving her defenseless brother by himself.

Leo grabs the tablets, and April is shocked to find him being taken away in an ambulance when she gets home. His worried parents, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and Rhona Goskirk (Zoë Henry), watch with distress.

At the hospital, Rhona doesn’t trust April. She thinks about telling the truth, but gets scared and runs away when she sees the police coming. She panics and leaves when she notices the police are approaching.

However, April shares with Dylan that she’s considering a confession, and as Ray happens to overhear their discussion, the question is: how will he manage to regain control of things?

And will Leo be okay?

While April attempts to compose herself before the authorities question her, she unexpectedly encounters a key figure involved in the drug operation.

Now that it’s obvious who’s controlling Ray, that’s not the only surprising revelation viewers have received.

But it’s safe to say, what’s revealed changes everything we thought we knew.
