There have been plenty of exciting Marvel game reveals this year. We’re getting a new fighting game called Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, and Insomniac Games has finally shared gameplay for Marvel’s Wolverine. But Marvel Games has even more in development! Tribute Games and Dometu are creating the impressive beat ‘em up, Marvel Cosmic Invasion. Now, players can start playing with a great selection of well-known Marvel characters.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion is a beat ’em up game with pixel art graphics and fast-paced, arcade-style action, all set within the Marvel universe. It features an epic story that takes place across the galaxy and lots of powerful combos, making it a really enjoyable experience. While the complete game will be available later this year, Marvel enthusiasts can try out a preview of the gameplay starting today! Tribute Games and Dometu have just announced that the Marvel Cosmic Invasion demo is now available for PC players on Steam. This means that from today until October 20th, fans can experience this upcoming superhero game for free.
What’s Included in the Marvel Cosmic Invasion Demo
The Marvel Cosmic Invasion demo is available on Steam now, letting you try it out firsthand. This PC-only preview offers a first look at the gameplay, but keep in mind that your progress won’t be saved. You’ll start from the beginning each time you play the demo. To give you a taste of the action in Marvel Cosmic Invasion, the team has released a new trailer:
The trailer gives you a glimpse of the playable characters available in the demo. Here’s the complete roster of 9 Marvel heroes you’ll be able to try out:
- She-Hulk
- Rocket Raccoon
- Venom
- Phyla-Vell
- Spider-Man
- Storm
- Wolverine
- Nova
- Captain America
This is only a preview of the complete character list, since Dometo and Tribute Games have already revealed additional Marvel heroes who will be available when the game officially launches. However, this current selection is a great start and should appeal to a wide range of Marvel fans.
During this free trial, you can play as your favorite Marvel character – hero or villain! – and experience the action by battling through two levels: Marvel’s New York City and the Helicarrier. These levels give you a taste of the game’s expansive, universe-spanning story.
And good news – the demo does support both playing with someone locally and online! Now you can finally answer the age-old question within your friend group: who would win in a battle between Storm and Wolverine? Or, you can even let Venom get his revenge on your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
The Marvel Cosmic Invasion demo is available on Steam until Monday, October 20th, which marks the end of Steam Next Fest. This gives players a good amount of time to experience all 9 playable characters and explore the two levels included in the demo. While the full game, coming later this year, will have much more content, the demo provides an exciting preview for Marvel fans deciding which games to play in 2025. And let’s be honest, who isn’t thinking about that?
