What time are the new Spy x Family season 3 episodes released?

According to information shared by the Spy x Family’s X (previously Twitter) account, each new episode of Spy x Family will first be broadcast on television networks like Tokyo TV in Japan. Shortly after, it will become available to stream on Crunchyroll.

How many episodes will there be in Spy x Family season 3?

We currently estimate that Spy x Family season 3 will have 12 episodes. This is based on the fact that both season 2 and the first half of season 1 also contained the same number of episodes.

Season 1 of Spy x Family consisted of two parts (each with 10-14 episodes), for a total of 25 episodes. We anticipate that Wit Studio and CloverWorks-the animation studios working together on the show-will follow the same pattern in season 2, meaning a shorter episode count.

It’s uncommon for a TV show to change its episode count per season – specifically, to go from having two cours to just one. This change often happens because of difficulties with production or a deliberate choice in how the story is told. However, it’s very rare for studios to then go back to the original, longer format in subsequent seasons.

What’s the plot of Spy x Family season 3?

The official trailer for Spy x Family season 3 shows Anya becoming very motivated to study and collect more Stella Stars at Eden Academy. She’s also working on improving her friendship with Damian, all while trying to help Loid get closer to Donovan Desmond as part of Operation Strix.

This closely follows the storyline of the manga. The anime’s second season concluded with the WISE Arc and is now moving into the five-chapter Friendship Schemes Arc (chapters 64-68).

However, Old Lady Tonitrus Bolt has also arrived at Eden Academy. She’s known for handing out Tonitrus Bolts – demerits that can lead to expulsion – which threatens Anya’s position at the school and puts Loid’s entire plan in jeopardy.
