Okay, so in Digimon Story Time Stranger, you *really* need Yen. It’s how I upgrade my Digimon, get better equipment, and unlock stuff as I progress. I can earn it by battling and exploring, but honestly, the fastest way to make money is by getting the Hall of Gold DLC. It’s an $8 expansion, and it unlocks this awesome dungeon specifically designed for farming Yen. It’s totally worth it if you want to speed things up!
Here’s how to unlock it and earn millions of Yen fast.
How to Access the Hall of Gold DLC
To begin earning more money in the game, you’ll first need to buy and install the Hall of Gold DLC (it costs about $8 USD as of today). After you’ve done that, play through the story until you reach and unlock The In-Between Theater.
- Talk to Mirei Mikagura (the purple-haired NPC inside) inside The In-Between Theater.

2. Choose “I wanna go to the Outer Dungeons.”

3. Select The Hall of Gold from the list of available dungeons.

Once you enter the Hall of Gold, you’ll see three difficulty options: Beginner, Familiar, and Expert.
Best Settings for Fast Farming
For the most efficient money farming:
- Set your difficulty to Story in the System.

- Enable 5x battle speed to clear fights quickly.

These small changes drastically reduce battle time while maximizing your Yen gains.
Farm Gold Digimon for Big Yen Drops
- Beginner
- Fight Guardromon (Gold) for quick and easy battles worth 10,000 Yen each.

- Familiar
- Stronger gold Digimon appear here, dropping 25,000 Yen per fight.

- Expert
- Battle PrinceMamemon for the biggest payout, up to 50,000 Yen per encounter.

Best Digimon to Use for Money Farming
Using Rookie Digimon will make the game more challenging, as they’ll have difficulty defeating the gold enemies quickly.
Why This Is the Best Money Farm
Farming in the Hall of Gold is the quickest and most consistent way to earn money in Digimon Story Time Stranger. Using this technique, you can readily gain millions of Yen each time you play, giving you enough funds to purchase any item, outfit, or upgrade you’ll need later in the game.
It’s straightforward, quick, and effective, making it ideal for players looking to save time and concentrate on Digimon training or building the best team.
