During tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing episode, Anton Du Beke shared his thoughts on the recently passed Len Goodman. He also complimented Vicky Pattison after her performance of the Foxtrot, offering positive feedback on her dance.
This evening, Vicky and her dance partner Kai Widdrington performed a routine set to the song “Rein Me In” by Sam Fender and Olivia Dean. Vicky described the performance as being like a tribute to her home region, the North East.
The duo wowed the judges last week with a score of 23, and they delivered another strong performance this Saturday night.
He started by saying, “I know someone who would have really enjoyed that change of character.” The dearly departed Len Goodman would have loved that heel turn. You’ve practiced that move for hours, and you executed it perfectly – well done!

The positive feedback continued, as Craig Revel Horwood commented that Vicky performed like a seasoned musical theatre artist. Shirley Ballas added that Vicky has a strong chance of reaching the final.
Things became emotional for Vicky as she reflected on the comments from the judges.
Honestly, watching her on Strictly, I got the feeling she was finally hitting her stride. As she told Claudia Winkleman right before the judges’ scores came in, she admitted she hadn’t always felt she’d done much to represent her Northern roots, particularly early on. It was really heartwarming to hear her say it felt good to finally reach a turning point in the competition.
Vicky earned 24 points by hitting four sixes, and was thrilled with the score given by the judge.

Tonight is especially crucial for Vicky and the other celebrities because the public gets to vote for the first time in the competition tonight. It’s a big moment as their fate now rests, at least partially, in the hands of the viewers. Voting will play a key role in determining who stays and who goes.
Everything will be decided by a dance-off, after which the judges will determine who gets to stay in the competition for another week and who will be eliminated. As we learned on last week’s show, Shirley won’t be the only judge with the power to cast the deciding vote. Now, all of the judges will be able to make that final decision – but only if they can’t reach a unanimous agreement.
Only time will tell if Vicky’s time in the competition will be as long as Shirley envisions…
