Demi Moore Debuts Bangin’ Hair Transformation

Demi Moore doesn’t need to take the substance to recreate one of her early looks. 

She actually used her long hair to achieve the look. The actress recently showed off her new hairstyle, which many are comparing to her memorable look from the 1996 film *Striptease*.

Demi recently debuted new bangs on Instagram, noting they reminded her of the hairstyle her character Erin Grant wore in the movie *Striptease*. She thanked Gucci for inspiring the return of bangs, something she hadn’t done since filming that movie.

Demi Moore, 62, brought back her signature bangs for a short film called *The Tiger*, created by the luxury brand Gucci. In the film, released on September 23rd, she plays Barbara, a Gucci heiress who is trying to figure out who she is, both as a mother of three – portrayed by Keke Palmer, Elliot Page, and Edward Norton – and as the public face of the fashion brand.

Though Demi nailed the role with her acting alone, her new ‘do truly elevated her character. 

To add even more impact, Demi collaborated with hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos and Gucci’s new creative director, Demna.

Dimitris shared on Instagram that he was thrilled when Demi Moore contacted him about her new film with Gucci, asking him to style the hair for her character. He said he got ‘the chills’ from the news! The film’s director, Demna, came up with the idea of a specific hairstyle – ‘the GUCCI BANGS’ – and, according to Dimitris, always has a great eye for style.

Demi Moore, known for her role in *Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle*, has changed her hairstyle for film roles before. Most recently, she sported a bob with soft curls while filming the Paramount+ drama *Landman*. She shares three daughters – Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah Willis – with her former husband, Bruce Willis.

Demi has been known for her long hair for over ten years, but she’s also not afraid to try new things, like showing off her natural hair color as it grows in.

She told *People* magazine in April that she absolutely loves seeing women with long, silver hair. She finds it really beautiful and says she’d definitely try it herself—if she had enough gray hair to make a statement. Right now, she only has a few strands that just make her hair look dull. She added that she didn’t start dyeing her hair until she was around 55 years old.
