A hidden Easter egg in *Silent Hill f* connects it to the very first *Silent Hill* game, though it’s incredibly easy to miss. While *Silent Hill f* takes a different direction with its 1960s Japan setting – a departure from most other games in the series which are set in the United States – it still pays homage to its origins with this subtle reference to the 1999 original.
A fan named Frankielollia discovered a neat Easter egg in *Silent Hill f*. During the Middle School section, players can find a piece of sheet music on a chalkboard. While it might not seem special at first, anyone who can read music will recognize that the notes are actually from the main theme of the original *Silent Hill*.
This Easter egg is neat for a few reasons. It’s a fun nod to the original *Silent Hill* in the new game, *Silent Hill f*, which doesn’t have many connections to the older games. The secret is clever because most players probably can’t read music, and even those who can might not recognize the tune immediately as being from the first *Silent Hill*. This Easter egg suggests that *Silent Hill f* is full of similar hidden details.
Silent Hill 1 Will Be Much More Prominent Soon
For those new to the series, the original *Silent Hill* game is getting a remake! Bloober Team, known for their recent remake of *Silent Hill 2*, has officially started full production on the first game. This means we can likely expect the remake to be released within the next one to two years.
Konami is also developing a new Silent Hill game called *Silent Hill: Townfall*. While details about *Townfall* have been scarce for the last couple of years, now that *Silent Hill f* has been released, we expect to hear more about it soon.
