Battlefield 6 Players Who Party Up with PS Plus Subscribers Will Get an XP Boost

Now that Sony no longer has exclusive rights to Call of Duty, they’re heavily focusing on promoting Battlefield 6 and are offering rewards to players on their PlayStation platform.

Here’s a small but helpful update: you’ll now earn 5% more XP if you play with a group that includes two or more PlayStation Plus members. On top of that, simply being in a party with friends gives you another 5% XP boost, for a total of 10% extra XP!

PlayStation often provides benefits to players on its consoles, particularly when it’s the main sponsor for a game. As we mentioned earlier this week, PlayStation’s logo and branding are prominently featured in much of the advertising for the new Battlefield game.

The pressure to perform with this game likely wouldn’t be so intense if Xbox hadn’t acquired Activision. Historically, Activision has always released successful Call of Duty titles. It will be interesting to see how many players Battlefield 6 attracts away from the next Call of Duty game, Black Ops 7, this year.

If you’re mainly planning to play the game’s single-player story, the beginning of EA’s new shooter isn’t very impressive. We found it functional in our early review of Battlefield 6, but we haven’t been blown away by it so far.

We’ll share a more complete review early next week after we’ve tested the game on live servers. You can find the game’s release times here in the meantime.
