As a huge *One Piece* fan, I’m so excited about where the story is going! The anime is currently showing the Egghead Incident, but the manga is already deep into the long-awaited Elbaf Arc, and it’s getting incredibly intense with each new chapter – so many mysteries are finally being revealed! At NYCC 2025, the *One Piece* team dropped some amazing news about comics, manga, and anime. They even gave us the first look at the key visual for the Elbaf Arc anime! It features the Straw Hats in their awesome new outfits, which really fit the Land of the Giants theme. We actually got a sneak peek at the color scheme back in March 2025 with the cover of manga Volume 111, but seeing the full visual is just incredible!
Fans are sharing a striking image of the Straw Hat Pirates, each wearing a color that represents them – Luffy in red, Sanji in blue, and Zoro in green. The image gained popularity online, with several large accounts like @pewpiece sharing it with those who couldn’t attend the event it came from. At the event, a sneak peek of Episode 1146 was also shown, but surprisingly, the episode won’t be released until October 19th, 2025 – two weeks later than its original release date of October 5th. The episode will cover Chapter 1112 of the manga and feature Luffy using one of his signature moves while battling the Five Elders.
One Piece’s Anime Is Currently in a Crucial Phase
The remaining Five Elders have reached the island and intend to eliminate Vegapunk. They also want to stop Luffy, a powerful pirate known as one of the Four Emperors and who possesses the abilities of the Sun God Nika. Just when Luffy and his allies seemed trapped, the Giant Pirates, Dorry and Brogy at their head, unexpectedly appeared. Luffy’s crew had previously met them in the Little Garden arc and made a promise to meet again in Elbaf, and now that moment had arrived.
This storyline began 24 years ago, and now these characters have arrived at Egghead to assist the Straw Hats in their escape. The battle against the Five Elders and the Marines will be ongoing for some time, and this arc will conclude with a surprising twist. While the finale of the Egghead Incident Arc is still a few months away, the anime is nearing its endgame, especially with Vegapunk’s broadcast set to begin in Episode 1147.
As a huge *One Piece* fan, I’m so excited for the Elbaf Arc! We won’t be seeing it until next year, unfortunately, but honestly, it’s been building since Luffy first encountered the Giants. Elbaf is packed with secrets, and now that we’re diving into the second arc of the Final Saga, things are getting seriously intense – the enemies are stronger and the stakes are higher than ever before! I can’t wait to see what Oda has in store for us!
