A new Halloween special of *Family Guy* is now available on Hulu, and fans won’t want to miss it! While new episodes won’t return to FOX until mid-2026, this special offers a spooky treat for viewers this year. With two holiday episodes planned for Hulu before the end of the year, there could be some exciting things coming from *Family Guy* soon.
Hulu recently released a new Halloween episode of *Family Guy* called “A Little Fright Music.” This special is a bigger celebration of the holiday than last year’s and even includes an original song from Stewie and Brian – something the show hasn’t done in several seasons. It’s clear a lot of effort went into making this special stand out, so *Family Guy* fans won’t want to miss it.
Family Guy Goes All Out With 2025 Halloween Special
This year’s Halloween special, “A Little Fright Music,” is a step up from last year’s offering. The episode centers around Stewie and Brian trying to create a new Halloween hit, since there aren’t many well-known songs about the holiday. At the same time, Peter and his friends take Chris trick-or-treating, which causes a major argument with Lois, who feels Chris is too old for it. Overall, the episode feels more like a dedicated Hulu special than previous attempts.
While it would have been great to see a Halloween-themed opening sequence, the fact that this episode is set around the holiday and concludes with a full song performance (available in the video above) really highlights it as a special release. Initially, when *Family Guy* altered its schedule, these extra Hulu episodes felt like leftovers from the standard broadcast season. It seemed like episodes centered around fall holidays were simply moved to Hulu instead of being included in the regular season.
What Does This Mean for Family Guy’s Future?

This Halloween special is a promising look at what’s coming for *Family Guy* and its future Hulu releases. If the Christmas special was also created with streaming in mind, we can expect it to feel like a traditional holiday event, just like this one. The biggest difference here is the atmosphere – this special builds to a genuinely fun and slightly spooky climax, finishing with a musical number.
This *Family Guy* episode is one of the show’s best in a while, which is especially great considering the recent changes to the characters and storylines. It’s a perfect way to keep fans entertained until the next season, and you won’t want to miss this Halloween special!
