Okay, so Microsoft is *finally* getting into the handheld gaming world! They’ve teamed up with Asus to create the ROG Xbox Ally, and there are two versions. The standard Ally is $599.99, and if you want the more powerful Ally X, it’ll cost you $999.99. I just saw the launch trailer – it looks amazing, and I can’t wait to get my hands on one!
The ROG Xbox Ally comes with an AMD Ryzen Z2A CPU, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage, powered by a 60Wh battery. The more powerful Ally X boasts an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme CPU, 24GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage, along with a larger 80Wh battery. It also offers enhanced haptic feedback through its Impulse Triggers and the ability to expand the storage. You can find detailed specs for both models here.
The biggest benefit of these devices is being able to play games from all your PC libraries, like Ubisoft Connect, EA App, Epic Games Store, and Steam, wherever you are. Plus, you can stream games using Xbox Game Pass via the cloud. You can find out more about the Xbox Fullscreen Experience here.
