Xbox is gearing up for a big month with several major game releases, including the highly awaited The Outer Worlds 2. Players can also look forward to titles like Keeper and the latest installment in the Ninja Gaiden series, Ninja Gaiden 4.
Today isn’t focused on games themselves, but on celebrating The Outer Worlds 2! Obsidian Entertainment is holding a sweepstakes where you can win a large Moon Man plush – a special, limited-edition collectible – until November 16, 2025.
Meet the Moon Man Couch-Panion
Obsidian is boosting its marketing efforts with a giant Moon Man plush! Standing over three feet tall, this collectible features soft, squishy hands for stress relief, a convenient holder for popcorn, and even straps to keep your Xbox controller secure.
Staying true to their playful style and hinting at an extravagant follow-up, Obsidian describes their new plush toy as something you’ll want to collect and show off – it’s designed to spark conversation.
Unfortunately, the Moon Man plush isn’t available to buy. Instead, fans can enter a sweepstakes to win one. To participate, simply follow Xbox on X (formerly Twitter) and share their sweepstakes post using #MoonManSweepstakes, or comment on the official Xbox Instagram post with the same hashtag. The sweepstakes is open to those 18 and older in eligible countries (excluding Russia), and ten winners will be randomly selected when it closes on November 16, 2025. Each plush is worth approximately $100.
A bigger, stranger sequel with Obsidian’s charm
Obsidian has had a busy year, releasing Avowed and with The Outer Worlds 2 scheduled to launch on October 29, 2025. Players with Game Pass, including Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, will be able to play the sequel on day one.
Back in August, our own Zachary Boddy got an early look at The Outer Worlds 2 and shared his impressions. He found that the sequel is a significant step up from the first game, with improvements to how characters move, how combat feels, and a generally more refined experience. Everything feels smoother, from character animations to how quickly the game responds to your actions.
The Outer Worlds 2 aims to improve on the original in every way, offering more complex RPG elements and giving players meaningful choices that truly impact the story. You’ll have lots of ways to play – from sneaking around and talking your way through situations to all-out combat – building on what made the first game great while adding even more depth. Expect the same witty, satirical humor, but with enhanced graphics, a stronger story, and a more immersive cinematic feel.
Big year, big sequel, and an even bigger plush
As a huge fan of The Outer Worlds, I absolutely love the Moon Man Couch-Panion! It just *gets* the game’s quirky sense of humor – it’s a perfect reminder that Obsidian doesn’t take itself too seriously, even with such a big release for Xbox. Honestly, it’s exactly the kind of wonderfully weird marketing move we’ve come to expect and adore from them. It feels totally in line with the game’s blend of satire and genuine heart – that Outer Worlds magic!
With a large plush giveaway and plans for a more expansive sequel, Obsidian Entertainment is building strong momentum as they approach the release of The Outer Worlds 2. The upcoming game appears to be a confident evolution of the original, retaining the witty writing, player choice, and unique humor that fans loved.
The wait for The Outer Worlds 2 isn‘t long! It arrives October 29th on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Battle.net, and Steam. Plus, it will be available on Game Pass Ultimate from day one. Whether you’re excited about the collectibles or eager to explore space, Obsidian Entertainment has a new adventure ready for you.
