While many anime series were strong contenders last year, including *Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End* and *The Apothecary Diaries*, *Dandadan* from Shonen Jump truly stood out. Produced by Science SARU, the animation studio enhanced the original story with its distinctive style and fun details, giving the series a special appeal. *Dandadan* successfully blended action, comedy, drama, and romance into a well-rounded experience. The first season finished in the summer, and fans were thrilled when Science SARU announced a second season, with recent updates adding to the excitement.

I watched the second season of *Solo Leveling* wrap up earlier this year with twelve episodes, and everyone’s been eagerly waiting for news about Season 3. So far, though, there’s been no official announcement. It seems like A-1 Pictures *might* announce something soon, but it’s likely production would take a while. It’s interesting to compare that to *Dandadan*, which I think was a strong contender for Anime of the Year. They announced Season 3 almost immediately after Season 2 finished, and now we know it’s already in production! That suggests we’ll see the new *Dandadan* season much sooner than we’ll see *Solo Leveling* Season 3, if that one even gets confirmed.
Fans don’t need to rush for *Solo Leveling* Season 3, as the end of Season 2 felt like the high point of the story, with Jinwoo becoming the world’s strongest Hunter. This suggests the next season might not be as exciting as the first two. In contrast, *Dandadan* Season 2 ended with a major cliffhanger, leaving viewers wanting more. A new character immediately kissed Okarun, adding a new romantic element to this popular action-comedy anime. With recent news, *Dandadan* Season 3 is likely to arrive soon, perhaps next fall, while *Solo Leveling* fans might have a longer wait.
