Despite competing with highly anticipated games like *Battlefield 6* and *Little Nightmares 3*, Dotemu’s *Absolum* still achieved significant success this week. The publisher announced that the game has sold over 200,000 copies, boosted by positive reviews, and released a new trailer celebrating its achievements. You can watch the trailer below.
Absolum is a beat ’em up game created by Dotemu, Guard Crush Games, and Supamonks. It supports up to two players and features the same polished fighting style as *Streets of Rage 4*, but with the added features of rogue-lite gameplay and a sprawling world with branching paths. Players can choose from characters with unique special abilities, learn new moves, and enhance those abilities with different elements.
Absolum is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. In our review, we scored it a nine out of ten, praising its beautiful visuals and fantastic combat. The game cleverly combines rogue-lite features with its beat ’em up gameplay, making each playthrough feel new and exciting.
