King Charles III was part of Prince Andrew’s latest decision.
TopMob News has learned that the King supports his brother’s decision to step down from his royal duties, including relinquishing the title Duke of York. The decision followed a thorough discussion between the two brothers, and the King is pleased with the final result.
Andrew decided to give up his royal titles and withdraw from public duties because of ongoing questions about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of sex offenses.
Okay, so I’ve been following everything, *everything*, and I just read the statement. Basically, after talking it over with the King – can you imagine *talking* to the King?! – and his whole family, Prince Andrew finally admitted all the drama around him is just becoming a huge distraction. He said it’s taking attention away from the important work the King and the Royal Family are doing, and honestly, it’s about time someone realized that! It’s like, let them do their thing, and leave them alone! I’m just so relieved he finally acknowledged it, even if it took this long. It’s all anyone is talking about, and it’s overshadowing everything else. I’m just a dedicated follower, and I’m glad it’s being addressed.
The 65-year-old explained he prioritized his family and country, leading to his decision. Although he’d already planned to withdraw from public life since 2019, he now feels, with the King’s approval, that he needs to fully step down.
He stated that he would give up his title and any honors he had received.
This includes the title Duke of York, which he received when he married Sarah Ferguson in 1986. He will continue to be known as “Prince” because he is the late Queen Elizabeth II’s second son. This decision doesn’t affect his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, and their titles will remain the same.
Andrew responded to the claims linking him to Epstein, firmly denying any wrongdoing, just as he has done before.
I’ve been following this case for years, and it’s truly heartbreaking. Jeffrey Epstein, thankfully convicted of terrible crimes against children in 2019, died by suicide while in jail later that same year. Then, in 2021, Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s accusers, bravely filed a lawsuit against Prince Andrew. Sadly, Virginia passed away in April at just 41 years old. Her lawsuit detailed how Epstein trafficked her and alleged that Prince Andrew sexually abused her when she was only 17. It’s a deeply disturbing situation, and I feel for everyone affected.
The following year, the royal reached a settlement in the lawsuit and continues to maintain that no sexual activity occurred with Giuffre.
Andrew stated in a BBC Newsnight interview that he had absolutely no memory of ever meeting the woman in question.
In 2022, before she passed away, Queen Elizabeth removed Andrew’s military titles and royal honors due to allegations of sexual abuse.
In January, Buckingham Palace announced that Prince Andrew has given up his military roles and royal patronages, which have reverted to Queen Elizabeth II. He will continue to remain out of public life and is pursuing the current legal case as an individual, not as a working royal.

As a long-time follower of the Royal Family, I was saddened to hear that Prince Andrew has decided to step down from using his Duke of York title. It’s become clear, with the ongoing issues surrounding his connection to Jeffrey Epstein, that this was the right thing to do. He announced the decision on October 17th, and while it’s a difficult situation, I respect his choice to address the continuing controversy.
After talking with The King and my family, I’ve decided the ongoing accusations against me are taking attention away from the important work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,” Andrew said in a statement. “As I’ve always done, I’m prioritizing my family and country. Therefore, I stand by my decision to step back from public life, which I made five years ago.”
Andrew stated that, with the King’s approval, he would take things a step further by relinquishing his royal title and any honors he’d received. He also reaffirmed that he strongly denied the allegations made against him.
I was so pleased to see the King and Prince of Wales at the Countdown to COP30 event last October! It was wonderful to have them show their support at London’s Natural History Museum – a truly inspiring setting for such an important discussion about our planet’s future.
The couple posed for photos in front of the museum before going inside to discuss climate change solutions with government officials and activists. This event took place ahead of the COP30 World Leaders Summit in Belém, Brazil, in November, which Prince William will attend as a representative for his father.
In September 2025, Sarah, Duchess of York, stepped down as a patron of Julia’s House after an old email from 2011 surfaced. The email revealed she referred to Jeffrey Epstein as a friend.

The charity has informed the Duchess of this decision and expressed their gratitude for her previous contributions, according to The Guardian.
A representative for Ferguson stated the email was sent following a threat made by Epstein.

The couple’s representative told Hello! magazine that both families were told about the engagement at the same time and were very happy about it.
Just a day before turning 78, the royal was made an honorary Vice Admiral by the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy.
As a bit of a royal and tradition enthusiast, I find this fascinating! Camilla has made history as the first woman to ever receive this honorary title. It’s quite special because the King – Charles, of course – is the only one who can actually bestow it, but only after a recommendation. Currently, that recommendation comes from Sir Gwyn Jenkins, who serves as the First Sea Lord. It’s a lovely bit of naval and royal history in the making!
As a lifestyle expert, I’m following the news closely, and it seems Princess Kate has had to unexpectedly withdraw from today’s Royal Ascot. Kensington Palace just confirmed to NBC News that she won’t be joining the festivities as planned. It’s a shame, as everyone was looking forward to her return to the annual horse race, but health and well-being always come first, of course!
The palace said Kate was sad to miss the event, but is still working out how to manage her public appearances as she recovers from cancer.

He doesn’t foresee returning to the U.K. with his family anytime soon. He expressed sadness at the thought of his children never getting to know his home country.
Harry explained that his father has significant influence and could potentially solve the situation. He doesn’t need to directly get involved, but simply allow the professionals to handle things and continue their work.
After years of fighting, he’s now seeking peace and a chance to make amends. He explained, “Life is too short, and I don’t know how much time my father has left.”
