No Man’s Sky ‘Breach’ update now available

Hello Games has released the “Breach” (version 6.10) update for No Man’s Sky.

Here is an overview of the update, via its official website:

Breach Expedition

In Breach, you’ll explore a lonely, deserted universe filled with the wreckage of old warships. You can salvage parts from these ships to build and improve your own corvette.

Recovering these shipwrecks will provide many corvette parts, including unusual components that will allow designers to create even more innovative builds.

The expedition also offers special Atlas-themed items, letting players show their support for the powerful, all-knowing Atlas.

The most impressive wreckage is the Fireship Arcadia, and you’ll discover its story as you explore Breach. To uncover the unique treasures hidden within these haunting systems, you’ll need to overcome your fears and bravely venture out into the darkness of space.

The new Breach Expedition delves into the unsettling corners of the universe, attracting even the most daring players to the mysterious purple-star systems originally shown in Worlds Part II earlier this year. These systems feature ominous planets with dark, deep oceans, strange creatures, and incredibly powerful and unpredictable gas giants.

The Breach Expedition begins today, and will run for approximately three weeks.

Space Wreckage

You can now find and salvage wrecked corvettes in deep space. Venture outside your ship to explore these empty hulls, using your Multi-Tool’s laser to break down valuable parts. Then, take those salvaged materials to a Corvette Workshop to build the ship of your dreams.

We’re now able to salvage a lot of new parts from wrecked corvettes found in deep space and on planets. These parts include landing gear, shields, weapons, and connectors. Most excitingly, we’ve recovered wedge-shaped modules that players have been requesting, opening up possibilities for unique and complex corvette designs.

Quality of Life

Hey everyone, the new No Man’s Sky update is here, and it’s awesome! Beyond all the bug fixes and cool new stuff, the team has really been focusing on improving Voyagers since they launched a few months ago. I’m especially excited about how much better the snapping is now – building feels so much smoother. They’ve also made collisions way more reliable, which is a huge relief. And get this – the Corvette Workshop now lets you color your whole corvette with a single palette! Honestly, if you’ve been thinking about building a corvette, now is definitely the time!

Breach Expedition Rewards

Event Horizon, Eternal Serpents, and Siren of the Stars Posters

The posters celebrating the Breach expedition show a strange distortion in deep space, a repeating pattern resembling an endless serpent, and a siren with tentacles, ready to pull you into its slimy grasp.

Aeron Cowling and Diffuser

The design of these corvette parts is incredibly old and clearly recognizable, seemingly formed by the very pulse of the universe.

The Aeron Cowling and Aeron Diffuser create a striking, sharply angled look for your corvette.

Wings of Aeron

This Atlas-themed wing module stabilises the corvette during atmospheric flight.

Aeron Powershield

The Aeron Powershield connects directly to the corvette’s shields, greatly improving its defensive capabilities.

Aeron Winglet, Aeron Pillar, and Aeron Pyramid

These Atlas-inspired decorations can be attached to the outside of the corvette, showing even more dedication to the crimson entity.

Aeron Starship Trail

This engine modification injects the Starship exhaust trail with an arterial streak of crimson.

Aeron Drive and Aeron Blade

You can build a powerful, durable Atlas corvette with the robust Aeron Drive, or opt for a faster, more streamlined look using the sleek Aeron Blade wing.

Development Update

It’s been a busy year for the No Man’s Sky team, quickly releasing several major updates like Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon, and Voyagers. We’re incredibly happy to still be developing this game nine years after it first launched, and seeing so many players enjoy the Voyagers update has motivated us to keep creating new things. We’re excited to share what’s coming next!

Our journey continues.
