Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster Make Rare Outing Together Amid Romance

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster are making the greatest show of their romance. 

After being spotted holding hands in Los Angeles nearly nine months ago, the couple made a public appearance together at the Fetch Pet Gala in New York City on October 20th.

The couple chose a timeless look for their evening at The Carlyle hotel. Hugh wore a classic black suit, while Sutton stunned in a black gown with a velvet top and silver heels. They were spotted taking a quick photo together while seated at their table during the gala.

After being friends for a long time, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively confirmed they were dating when they were seen showing affection during a walk after dinner in Santa Monica on January 6th.

A week later, the couple became even more affectionate, sharing a kiss while waiting for their food at In-N-Out.

Before publicly displaying their affection, Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness both confirmed significant personal changes. In 2023, the couple, who are parents to Oscar, 25, and Ava, 20, announced they were separating after 27 years of marriage.

The former couple announced in a statement that they’ve decided to separate and focus on their own personal development, following their divorce finalized in June.

Jennifer Sutton and her ex-husband, Ted Griffin, separated last October after ten years of marriage. They are currently navigating legal issues as they finalize their divorce, and they share an eight-year-old daughter named Emily.

Even through challenging times, Hugh and Sutton clearly supported each other. They had been friends for years, meeting while working on the 2022 production of The Music Man, as Sutton has pointed out.

Before Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster appeared together in The Music Man, Jackman actually saw Foster perform in Thoroughly Modern Millie – the role that earned her a Tony Award. Foster told Broadway.com in May 2022 that they had met a few times over the years, and she even has photos to prove it. However, The Music Man marked their first time officially working together. At the time Jackman was also enjoying Tony Award success for his performance in The Boy From Oz.

When Megan Hilty performed as Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical, Hugh Jackman attended a performance. Afterwards, they took a backstage photo with her fellow cast members, John Tartaglia and Christopher Sieber.

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster reconnected at the 2014 Tony Awards. Jackman hosted the show and shared a dance with Foster and the other nominees for Best Leading Actress in a Musical. The next day, Foster posted a picture of the moment on Instagram with the simple caption, “This happened.”
