Celebrity Race Across the World return date finally confirmed by the BBC

The new season of Celebrity Race Across the World, featuring a fresh group of famous faces, is coming soon – and we now have the official airdate!

The popular travel show, where celebrities and their families journey around the world with limited money and no phones or internet, is back on Thursday, November 6th at 8pm on BBC One.

This season, competitors will start on a Caribbean island and race to be the first to reach the finish line in La Guajira, Colombia – a beautiful peninsula and the northernmost point of South America.

Last month, the BBC announced the four pairs who will be embarking on an incredible adventure. Among them are actor Dylan Llewellyn, known for his roles in ‘Derry Girls’ and ‘Big Boys,’ and his mother, Jackie.

I’m really excited to see Anita Rani, who I love on Woman’s Hour and Countryfile, joining the competition! Even better, she’s going to be paired with her dad, Bal. That’s a lovely dynamic and I can’t wait to see how they do!

DJ Tyler West, EastEnders star Molly Rainford, and broadcaster Roman Kemp are also joining the challenge, along with his sister, Harley Moon.

Joining the show has been a really emotional experience, full of difficulties, but I’ve grown a lot as a person because of it. I definitely feel like it’s made me a better version of myself.

Rani announced the exciting news on social media, hinting at a special project. She wrote, ‘You’ll have to tune in to see what it is, but I got to be a part of a dream opportunity!’

As a huge fan of ‘Race Across the World,’ I was really excited to hear Tim Harcourt from Studio Lambert talk about season 3. He says this season will bring a fresh group of celebrities into the mix, and what I love about the show is seeing how they really open up and connect with each other. He described it as a truly transformative experience for them, and promised it’ll be inspiring, unpredictable, and packed with those amazing, emotional moments that have made the show so popular with viewers like me.

Catherine Catton, who commissions factual entertainment and events at the BBC, said that ‘Celebrity Race Across the World’ is always a popular show. She’s excited for a new season with a fresh group of celebrities and their partners embarking on a challenging and unpredictable adventure.

Scott Mills, a radio presenter, and his husband, Sam Vaughan, won the 2024 competition by being the first to reach the final checkpoint in Frutillar, Chile.

The team finished the race ahead of several other pairs, including actor Kola Bokinni and his cousin, broadcaster Jeff Brazier and his son, and model Kelly Brook with her husband. Brazier and his son came in third, followed by Brook and Parisi in fourth.

Celebrity Race Across the World returns to BBC One and iPlayer soon.
