FAQ

What’s the biggest release this week?

The biggest release is *The Outer Worlds 2*, available immediately with an Xbox Game Pass subscription. This is the sequel to the popular RPG from Obsidian Entertainment, and it features larger game worlds, more developed relationships with companion characters, and even more biting humor.

What other major titles are out?

Several exciting games were showcased, including *Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O.*, a fighting game with improved online play, *Dragon Quest I & II HD‑2D Remake*, which reimagines classic role-playing games with updated graphics, and *ARC Raiders*, a new cooperative science fiction shooter.

Are there any indies worth noting?

This week offers a lot of interesting smaller games, including scary survival experiences and unique simulators. You’ll find a good mix of genres, like farming, trucking, and unusual life simulation games.

Are these games all on Game Pass?

Not every new game is automatically included with Game Pass. While *The Outer Worlds 2* will be available to Game Pass subscribers, titles like *Dragon Quest I & II HD‑2D* and *Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O.* will require separate purchases. To see the most up-to-date list of what’s included, check the Game Pass app.

Why does this week matter?

Wow, this week is HUGE for gaming! We’ve got a massive RPG dropping, a classic fighting game series making a comeback, a remake of a JRPG I’ve been waiting for, and tons of cool indie titles. It really highlights Xbox’s approach – they’re delivering big-name Game Pass games alongside a really diverse selection of titles from other developers, which I think is smart.
