Please be aware that this article contains spoilers from the One Piece manga! The long-awaited Elbaf Arc of the One Piece anime is now revealing the shocking details of the God Valley Incident. When the manga first hinted at this event about six years ago in Chapter 957, fans had no idea how important it would become to the story. The World Government kept the truth hidden because they didn’t want people to know about the terrible things they did while abusing their power. They blamed Rocks D. Xebec for the incident, but he was actually on the island simply to save his wife and young son, Marshall D. Teach.
Thirty-eight years ago, a terrible tragedy claimed the lives of many innocent people and marked the end of Xebec’s life. Strangely, the entire island was then erased from history, and the world forgot what happened. But the current events unfolding in the Elbaf Arc are now revealing the truth behind why the Rocks Pirates and the Roger Pirates were there. It’s also been discovered that another incredibly powerful figure was present during the chaos, causing fear and destruction.
One Piece Chapter 1163 Confirms Imu Is the Strongest Character Alive

Most fans think Imu is the series’ main villain, and the latest developments confirm they’re as strong as predicted. While much about this mysterious ruler remains a secret, their terrifying power lets them cause destruction worldwide without even leaving their castle. We’ve already seen Imu possess Gunko and control giants, giving us a clear idea of their immense power.
This character’s incredible power truly comes to light during the God Valley Incident. They managed to possess Saint Jaygarcia Saturn and single-handedly fight against some of the strongest characters in the series, like Rocks D. Xebec, Gol D. Roger, Edward Newgate (Whitebeard), Monkey D. Garp, Big Mom, and Kaido. Despite these legendary figures teaming up, Imu remained nearly invincible. The situation escalates when Imu gains control of Xebec, who was already being hunted due to his lineage tracing back to Davy Jones.
It’s important to remember that all of these characters possess Conqueror’s Haki, the most powerful ability shown in the series so far. Beating Imu, who has the power to control others and remains safely hidden within the Holy Land of Marijoa, will be a much greater challenge than anything Luffy and his crew have encountered yet.
